We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We like how UiPath is designed for low-code or no-code users. It's less complicated, enabling everyone to use it with only a basic knowledge of automation or data. Generally, I also like UiPath's ability to mine processes and analyze user interactions to generate analytics.""What we like about the product is that we are able to customize a lot of things quickly because UiPath already has certain APIs and tools available that we can integrate with our system to extract information.""Designing a chatbot would usually require some language coding and it would have to be deployed with certain front-end languages. But UiPath gives us the ability to automate this functionality with drag-and-drop features. That is the very best part, where UiPath is doing an amazing job.""The most valuable feature of unattended robots is that they are always available.""And the UiPath user community is the best. The people there are very friendly and helpful, and engage with each other. UiPath has done a good job building a good forum and a good blog, and making the community members interact with each other. The community is one of the reasons UiPath is my choice. It is a strong community.""The employee's productive hours increased and they were able to handle more transactions and focused on better quality work that needs human intelligence.""Starting with UI automation is valuable as it mirrors users' existing workflows, building their confidence before expanding into more powerful automation methods.""I have no issues with stability. UiPath improves how our infrastructure works and how stable everything is."

"The document processing engine is good. We're extracting around 70 data points from a given document, and we have an automated extraction rate of 80 percent for those fields.""We recommend different solutions based on our customers' needs, and WorkFusion is what we offer for those who need a premium solution.""WorkFusion's SAP integrations are really good.""The most valuable features are the Excel activities. It has a number of Excel activities that are quite reliable.""We need to analyze documents in order to understand them. We don't need to dedicate much time to this because WorkFusion's machine learning capabilities are very good. We can easily extract information and classify these documents. The document processing engine is very important to our organization because it is the center for many use cases, as we need to control the information contained in documents.""It's a pretty robust product.""In terms of stability, it's quite good. It's an internal IP product.""The most valuable feature is that it is easy to use."

Cons
"There is currently room for improvement in the area of ease-of-use.""Studio is a bit overwhelming in the beginning. They could get add some details, but not so many, into the foundation training. I've seen StudioX and loved the colors. Please get the colors into Studio. I loved the flow and that you got all these activities and colors too. It was so much easier. It was visually easier to understand where to click. It was really user-friendly.""Some of the areas around the administration aspect of UiPath, which is what I have been mostly working with over the past few years, can be better. From an organizational standpoint, some of the guidance there could use some work in terms of helping COEs know how to grow and how to take control of their organizations as they spread.""It would be beneficial for them to develop plans or packages, especially for countries where people are more budget-conscious.""Templates had to be created for different formats.""When it comes to decision-making, the robot will work based on what we feed it. It will not take any decision at runtime the way a human can. If they can put more intelligence in the robot for decision-making, it will definitely be beneficial for us. For example, if something is not working and it can dynamically decide at runtime what would be the next step, it will be beneficial.""I would say a better layout or interface between the Studio and Orchestrator tools would be nice.""The development life cycle using Automation Anywhere is shorter. With UiPath, the development life cycle is slightly longer, but it is not a major issue."

More UiPath Cons →

"The product needs to be "simple and easy" to use. A good example of this is the use of Python code to perform automations. It is free and the skills transfer is able to happen quickly and the operation and initiation of the completed automation is easy to execute.""Because the data is coming from offline, paper-based invoices and sometimes from Excel, data accuracy is the main challenge... Sometimes, WorkFusion has lacked the functionality for extracting the right information from the invoices and we have had to manually correct the format.""We had some issues in the past, but it is fairly stable now. From what I hear, it is more stable in the later versions. With version 10.1.4, there were some issues relating to load distribution. However, it is good now.""We would like to see further improvement in the area of running headless.""I would like WorkFusion to improve the automation rate when evaluating unstructured text.""Machine learning models for document-heavy processes have room for improvement because they require significant effort to train and update.""We have had some problems in the past with the Inspector tool that looks at the elements on the screen. Replacing it or improving it is needed.""One thing we didn't like was their OCR solution. We felt it's somewhat inefficient."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions."
  • "The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
  • "If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free."
  • "The community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it.""
  • "There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."
  • "Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Clients choose UiPath because it's easier to deploy and learn within their teams."
  • "We saw ROI in 15 days."
  • "They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
  • More UiPath Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Find it online."
  • "They have a very expensive license compared to any other automation tool. For instance, at $50,000 - $60,000, you can bring in an Automation Anywhere solution. For this solution, you need at least $250,000 to get something going."
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
