Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's connection with Azure is the most valuable. It is easy to deploy and connect.""Jamf Connect is a pretty simple and straightforward tool overall.""The solution is scalable.""Jamf Connect is an identity provider, and once you log in, you will have all the device's access.""The most valuable feature is ease of access. It's convenient to do things like resetting passwords. Previously, users were bound to their domain. We had to bind the user to the domain and log them in through the AD. Now, using Jamf Connect, we don't face any of these challenges. Resetting passwords is hassle-free so we can regularly rotate passwords according to best practices.""Jamf Connect allows for easy and seamless joining of Mac devices to Azure AD, eliminating the need for third-party involvement or support engineer assistance.""The most valuable feature is the synchronization of passwords with a local password, which works well.""The tool supports different types of authentication. It also integrates seamlessly if you are using other Jamf products."

"The most valuable feature depends on the use case of the clients. However, one feature I like is the Kiosk Mode. In the Kiosk Mode in most cases, the clients only can make available one application developed by the solution and permit the employee or the final client to use only this one application for interaction. This provides a security control layer limiting only one application functionally.""App delivery and management platform that's user-friendly, with a good interface. Easy to scale, easy to set up, with good stability.""The bigger vendors like VMware, Insight, and MobileIron can assign engineers to customers. You can work with them to develop the right competency to use the product.""The solution's Self-Service feature is valuable because it gives a single managed application that users can download and use based on their preferences and productivity.""VMware Workspace ONE is a platform that's really good at monitoring and managing mobile endpoints. It can be set up quickly and implemented easily. Technical support for this solution has always been good.""The product enables us to access our internal applications from anywhere in the world.""The antivirus and the ability to push security policies down to the device are key features.""Remote management is most valuable. It allows you to manage multiple types of devices. It is not just limited to laptops or desktops. You can also manage IoT devices. If a device is lost or stolen, you can easily take control of the device without letting any information get leaked."

Cons
"Overall, there is a lack of consistent experience sometimes with some of their features.""We have faced issues with the product's configuration. If we use the tool with other business manager solutions, then there is the issue of naming conventions. The tool needs to be careful with newer updates so that it doesn't break any of the existing configurations.""The solution’s technical support is bad and should be improved.""The logs are an area with a shortcoming.""Jamf Connect is beginning to implement Multi-Factor Authentication for offline authentication, but the setup documentation is insufficient.""The solution's UI could be more user-friendly for the setup process.""We've had some issues when users restart their devices because the device asks for credentials afterward. Jamf Connect asks for a username, password, and MFA.""The configuration could be faster."

"The console comes bunched together as a package and inbuilt. Its called Workspace ONE. Whenever we have an issue, we contact the service provider, and instead of a fix, we are just getting the next version of Workspace ONE.""VMware Workspace ONE can improve in virtual reality. Customers are now looking toward virtual reality devices. Though it supports virtual reality, it's treated as an Android device. Customers want to deal with VR devices, they want a specific VR tool. Not an Android device VR tool.""In terms of the inventory management side, as in the invoice management, the stock management and the entire inventory of an organization is lagging a bit in comparison to Blackberry or other EMM solutions.""The reverse proxy is not intuitive and it takes time to get it right, so this is something that can be improved.""They could provide DLP integration for applications and specific user account security.""This product makes use of SAML across the board, which has seven known security flaws. It would be good if the company created a way to protect against SAML flaws. One way would be to integrate a firewall server or an endpoint out in the cloud with which you could establish trust. If you knew nothing about SAML and you did some Google searches about what SAML is, what are the flaws, and what are the known vulnerabilities, eventually, you'll find that there are seven flaws. There are two methods that you can use to solve those seven problems. They essentially involve putting a firewall or putting rules, such as access controls, so that anybody in the world can't just come in, authenticate, and either be a good guy or be someone trying to knock on my door and get into my house. If I could eliminate that, it would be awesome.""When it comes to deployment and maintaining security, there should be an integrated console where you have a singular view of all of the products from the same OEM.""Technical support needs to be more responsive to our requests."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It's relatively inexpensive."
  • "The pricing model could be improved, especially considering the availability of alternative MDM solutions like Kandji, which offers similar features for free or at a lower cost."
  • "We pay 2 dollars per device monthly. For the plus version, you have to pay 4 dollars per month. I think the product will give discounts based on the number of users and devices."
  • "The solution's price is reasonable."
  • "I rate the cost as three out of ten, with ten being the highest."
  • "Jamf Connect has a yearly licensing cost, which is expensive."
  • "The pricing is good."
  • More Jamf Connect Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "You should take out a dedicated license agreement of your MDM fleet and invest heavily in innovating in this space."
  • "In terms of pricing, this solution is definitely much more expensive compared to other solutions, like MobileIron or MaaS360 or any other product in the market. This solution is more expensive by 30 or 40 percent."
  • "I have no opinion about the pricing of the product."
  • "The pricing and licensing are affordable. They are not too high."
  • "I think the pricing of the product needs advisement. It would be great to bundle the VM products together. I think the actual box itself should be included in the license. At present, it is not paired with the mobile device."
  • "If you purchase it for one year, it is very expensive. If you get it for three years or up to five years, then you can bargain a better price."
  • "There is a separate cost for technical support and extra premium features. The pricing should be simplified."
  • "The cost is a little bit high."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below is some feedback from our PeerSpot users who are currently using the solution:

PeerSpot user Patrick B., Cybersecurity Architect at a tech services company, says, "Its UI is extremely easy to use whether you're an advanced user or a novice user. When I first opened it up and had to learn the product, I was easily a novice. By the end of the third month, I was digging into the backend of the system and using it as a highly advanced user to accomplish what I needed to accomplish, and I was able to do it through the UI mostly."

Roshan T., Partner Manager North America at a tech company, mentions how satisfied he is with the product, saying, "You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed."
