We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"It saves us time in the respect that we now have the template built for it so we can get in and get it done. We've had much less problem supporting Voice over IP technologies from different companies. Because our client base has grown over the years, we're probably saving 20 to 30 man-hours a month now that we've got this on a good stable level.""It also provides us with layered security. It has onboard virus scanning features that allow it to scan before something gets to the host. It will also stop a person from going to a site that is known to be bad.""The solution simplifies my business. Normally, for administration, we are using NetApp System Manager on Window since it's easy to create new policies. In a short amount of time, you can create new policies based on new requirements. For example, in the last few months, many requirements changed due to the coronavirus, adding the use of new services, like Office 365, and eLearning tools, like Zoom.""The security that is used for defending from the attacks is very good.""The most valuable feature is the ease of use of the interface.""Regarding the reporting, I was in the Dimension server earlier today. It's very powerful. I like it. And the management features are easy to use. I like the fact that I can open up the System Manager client or I can just do it through the web if I'm making a quick change.""The main features of the solution are the control of the site-to-site network access and the overall features.""Because we bought two firewalls... we need a central place to manage the policies and deploy them to both devices. It's good that it provides a system management console that is able to manipulate and manage policies in one place and deploy them to different locations."

"I like the ease of deployment and its flexibility. We don't need to deal with license, quotes, procurement, delivery, and installation. Everything is software-based, and it's very easy to operate.""The initial setup is straightforward.""Once you have Zscaler running you have access to configure it however you want.""The solution offers good sandboxing.""Includes advanced tech protection."

Cons
"Sometimes I would like to copy a rule set from one box to another box in a direct way. This is a feature that is not present at the moment in WatchGuard.""The few issues that we have had, such as not knowing where to go, they have been answered quickly.""Its documentation could be improved. Sometimes, you need to search a bit longer to find what you are looking for.""The usability could be better, but it is definitely manageable. If we have to go to a backup internet connection, that could be a little bit easier.""I would like to see the devices made more flexible by adding modules to increase the ports that we can use.""The UI is not as user-friendly as the model that I had used before, which was from Check Point. The design of the Firebox UI is restricted and needs an experienced network guy to understand the format and settings.""The only downside is that it is missing an API, that you can use to easily collect information from it.""There should be better integration and a way to configure multiple vendors into the same data center in order to offer more flexibility."

"The product could improve its integration with some legacy systems.""Data Leak Prevention is only for web filtering and there is no protection for email.""The issue right now is probably that Zscaler is not providing web browser isolation. Another solution, Menlo, offers this. For one customer, we had to send traffic to Menlo to do the isolation for us. It was requested by the customer so that they could integrate any iframe. Zscaler needs to add this type of feature in their next release.""It would be better if they improved their policy, package visibility, and flexibility while we're creating rules for inspection. It could also be cheaper or more things could be included in the basic package. In the next release, I would like better coverage in the Asia Pacific region and better quality of service.""Because it's on cloud, it doesn't allow application of extra settings."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"I usually tell people that it's really affordable as well, particularly compared to Cisco.""They license it. When we buy it, we buy it with a three-year license. That's the most cost-effective way to do it. So, if you're going to buy it, then buy it with the three-year licensing.""It has a very good price. It is not the most expensive one, and it is also not the cheapest one. It is just spot-on in terms of price.""They have an annual subscription license. Initially, we had opted for three years. After that, we went for another three years, and after that, we have been doing it yearly. They also have a license for five years.""WatchGuard had a very competitive price. It was only 10 to 20 percent more than a single instance device but with that extra cost it provided a second load balancing device... unlike other brands whose method of hardware and software licensing would have doubled our cost.""The cost was somewhere in the vicinity of $2,000 to $3,000 for each one...""I find the solution to be very affordable.""The pricing was in line with everyone else; maybe slightly higher."

"The licensing is on a yearly basis. It is somewhere around 30 or 40 pounds per user for our organization.""There are licensing costs, and I would not say that it's a cheap vendor."
