The only help I had from CrowdStrike was to confirm this would work in Citrix. For example:
- Do we have the correct install language for Citrix? Because the VDI requires a couple of different switches turned on.
- Is SCCM going to work?
- Does this look right to you?
We just basically had them bless it off, "Yeah, it says right here in the manual that this is good." We kind of followed the manual, then we had no issues. However, we just wanted to make sure about that Citrix VDI. So, we did have them actually look at that and make sure that the switches were good.

We had a desktop management employee pushing it out, then another person in our security operations center validating endpoints numbers. It is really having your support desk know as well as having your people who run endpoint management.
For monitoring it, we have an outsourced IT provider (our partner) who has security operation center people operating the solution 24/5. They are the ones who are really responding to the alerts at the end of the day. I think there are four or five people who cover the 24-hour time shift.

We did it ourselves.
For the deployment, there was one FTE (a Level 2 PC technician) for eight weeks. For maintenance, it is pretty much set and forget it. There is very minimal maintenance and zero dedicated staff.

View full review »Getting it off the ground took myself, one CrowdStrike engineer, and we could have done it with one systems engineer, but we had two because one was on the client side for the Windows hosts and one was for enterprise for the data center and servers. We did it with four people, and me and one other guy manage it ourselves.
The CrowdStrike team helped with the implementation.

One of our security engineers is in charge of deployment. However, we don't have someone on it full time. He works on this when he has time available, so we probably only have one-third of a person working on it.

Our IT Services team deployed this solution, and they leveraged consultants from CrowdStirke to get the proper packages for the process.
I'm sure that there is administration and upgrades to do, as sensors need to be updated or policies need to be adjusted. We have a group of approximately five people who are security engineers, IT Services, and directors who use it.
View full review »We utilized a third-party for implementation. They helped us with the admin console, training, and the pilot setup that we eventually took over. Our internal team included two security staff and four support staff.
We were moving from Symantec and Kaspersky. We targeted our servers first because Symantec is difficult to uninstall and there is an interim process for removal. Once completed, we installed the solution.
It took about two months to complete implementation across all systems.

Three people were involved in deploying the solution:
- Being the experienced administrator, I pretty much did all the configuration: creating the correct groups, prevention policies, etc.
- We have an administrator of the deployment tool. I worked very closely with the package of the sensors and he executed the deployment.
- We have another gentleman who oversees our lab environment and was very invested initially in trialing the product against all our existing applications to ensure there weren't any incompatibilities in the early deployment.
While a third party handled the implementation, the OEM provided us with direct training on Falcon alongside CrowdStrike.

We deployed with an integrator. They were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. They involved the vendor when required. We use half of an FTE to maintain the solution. We also have a managed service provided that also integrated the log files from this product into our SIM. We are pointing all the logs to a log reporting utility that allows us to react to alerts.

I did one webinar with a support engineer. He showed me how to set it up, and to run with it.
We just did a screen share. He gave me insights into the best possible way to set it up and that's how I rolled it out. It was a helpful experience.
View full review »We deployed in-house, with our own team. We just borrowed the set up files and deployed on all the stations. Only two persons at each branch worked on deployment, so we used certain software to deploy the files on the network. Deployment took us nearly a month.
