Scalability is one of the few drawbacks of this thing. They're still using Flash Player to manage. The Flash Player can't handle all the puzzles, so they had to invent a tool to complement Flash, and now it is extremely slow.
So far, we haven't needed to increase our usage, but we will probably switch to another vendor when we change the technology. We will upgrade the SAN storage, so we'll only change our replication solution.

Regarding the scalability of the solution, we haven't faced any issues with RecoverPoint because it is designed to handle scalability well. However, when it comes to storage and backup, that is where scalability problems have affected us. Our clients are mainly enterprise businesses.
Dell RecoverPoint is very flexible in terms of scalability. In the software, you can go up to eight appliances. Currently, we have 10 customers using this solution.
When thinking about scalability, I would rate it a five out of five.

The solution is scalable. The only downside is it might be a little bit expensive in terms of being limited in terms of the consistency of groups that you can create. The licensing tends to be a little bit pricey for the region in which we are operating.

This solution is quite scalable. The maximum number of nodes per RP clusteris 16 so there's no issue there. The caveats associated with that are that you will need additional FC ports (by a factor of 4) on your storage fabric to support each new RPA. Also, if you are increasing the number of nodes in your cluster you are likely replicating more storage, in which case you will need adequate RecoverPoint capacity licensing to do based on the size of your work load.

The solution is very scalable. As long as you have room for the storage, it can scale up to meet it.

No, though some CG's (mostly VMWare ESX) are busier than others. Overall performance is good. Each datacenter site consists of two nodes (local cluster).

It's not for small operations. I don't think it needs improvement. It can replicate a lot of data storage.
