DigiCert Secure App Service Overview

What is DigiCert Secure App Service?

Secure App Service frees your business from the high financial and security risks of internal code signing key management, whilst simplifying and scaling your efforts with a code signing in the cloud service.

With SAS, all signing keys are stored in our data centers and access is restricted to authenticated users. To sign a file, the user logs in to SAS (2FA available) and uploads the file. SAS scans the file for malware, signs the file and sends it back.

The service can be integrated to your workflows via a full set of APIs and includes test signing and hash signing features.

DigiCert Secure App Service is also known as Symantec Secure Code Signing, Symantec Secure App Service.

Keeps our machines up-to-date with the definitions of the current Zero-day attacks

What is our primary use case?

It is a product for anti-virus security. It provides endpoint security for clients' machines.

Pros and Cons

  • "It keeps our machines up-to-date with the definitions of the current Zero-day attacks, which happen in the real-time scenarios."
  • "There was a problem with in version 14, where the client machines used to "hang.""
  • "The disadvantage is you need to keep track of the definition release on a daily basis."

What other advice do I have?

On the positive side, if you have a good environment, where your clients are not connected to domain, you can use this product. This is one advantage of this product, where you can use it for protecting your machines. The disadvantage is you need to keep track of the definition release on a daily basis. I would rate this product a nine out of 10, because of the service which we receive from Symantec, the support; and because of the product's scalability and flexibility. What is provided is good.
