There are defined steps that you need to perform for its initial setup. In terms of setup, I don't find it very difficult. Their setup process is pretty well defined in terms of what needs to be done. So, I haven't faced any challenges with that.

I tried installing it on my local system multiple times, but I did not observe many issues. You need to install the SQL Server or the other database system for the Dundas systems, and it is okay.

The installation and setup on the local machine took a day or two, but for the enterprise-level deployment, it takes somewhere between three to four days. The first part is mainly for identifying or doing the installation. The second part is validating or connecting to the sources. The installation itself is not that much of an issue, but connecting to the data sources, validating everything is working smoothly, and pulling in the data takes time. Overall, it takes anywhere between two to five days for an enterprise-level solution.

I was not involved in its setup.

We used a third party for deployment. They provided us with all the user accesses and licenses and they also handle maintenance. They maintain our databases, regularly updating all the data that we upload to Dundas BI. 

The setup is fairly straightforward. We have migrated Dundas BI since then several times from Windows to Linux and within a different version of Linux. Every time it has worked with only small and expected issues that we were able to work through either on our own or with the help of the Dundas BI Support team.

The setup is about average, but I wasn't involved. 

I have had to set up our development server after starting at this company. It was very easy to set up, the hardest part for me was getting all the passwords to the various accounts needed when setting it up.

Initial setup was quite easy. It takes a maximum 45 minutes to install the product, configure the product and start to work with your own data.

My understanding is that the installation of DBI is straightforward but I don't have experience with it.
