What is most valuable?

Our clients like the nice dashboard where they can see the active monitoring and includes performance, CPU usage, memory usage, and files. Solarwinds has an open database that allows you to do serious… more»

How has it helped my organization?

The customer's requirements are met with SolarWinds. It helps with server monitoring and not only to monitor the physical servers, but it can also control the virtual environment. It has good… more»

What needs improvement?

When you implement SolarWinds on a larger scale my customers complain about the speed. It's slow. This is an issue that has been going on for a long time that hasn't been properly addressed by… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licenses start from USD 3000.00 and go up to USD 20,000.00 for the year. It's a perpetual license. Nothing is free in SolarWinds, anything that you need is an additional cost. When you compare… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing may be a bit high for smaller customers. If a customer doesn't have more than 2,000 users, they might prefer to go with an open-source option, which won't cost much, if anything. Smaller companies can find a lot of other… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We've previously used a variety of other solutions. We've worked with CA, Nagios Spectrum, Unicenter (which is the older version of Nagios), and Tivoli. Most customers have been on or are on Tivoli as well.

What other advice do I have?

We're partners with Micro Focus as well as Microsoft and BMC and we're based in Isreal. We use the on-premises deployment model. We don't use the cloud deployment model. A lot of the systems are not on the cloud yet. We also internally… more»
