Backup admins don’t need to dedicate so much time to installation and configuration of backups.

NetWorker’s code needs improvement. There are so many bugs in each version, so I have to wait until the last cumulative... more»

Ask your EMC representative for discount. They can provide really good discounts.

Use EMC Data Domain (DD) system and EMC NetWorker. It really is number one on the market in backup and recovery solutions.

What do you think of EMC NetWorker?

Valuable Features: It is application aware for Meditech, Exchange and SQL. We do not want to check for successful backup in multiple locations. We want the backup application to handle all of that. • Improvements to My Organization: It has not improved functionality for us. At least the unsupported version we are on is difficult to administer. Most of the functions it can perform are not being used by us because of the complexity. • Room for Improvement: Reduce the product's complexity. • Use of Solution: Eight years. • Stability Issues: Stability is an issue. • Scalability Issues: No. • Customer Service and Technical Support: A seven out of 10. Valuable Features: Management GUI Pools to direct backups to storage • Improvements to My Organization: It allows us to not worry about our backups. • Room for Improvement: Some functionality is restricted to Data Domain. • Use of Solution: 21 years. • Stability Issues: No. • Scalability Issues: No. • Customer Service and Technical Support: Excellent. • Initial Setup: The initial setup was complex in 1996, but now our environment is simpler, thus requiring two servers. • Other Advice: If you need to backup multiple OS platforms, this is the product to purchase
