I worked on the development side. From the Ping perspective, it's mostly a configuration we did. It was another vendor doing the whole development for the Ping Foundation, mostly on the performance side. They were looking into that part.

I compared ForgeRock with various tools. I worked on Oracle IDM, Oracle Access Manager, and SailPoint. SailPoint is pretty good for provisioning, and it has a lot of different things. The governance feature in ForgeRock is comparatively new, and they also came up with the reporting feature. So some features are still new, but it has improved a lot.

I have been working on other IAM products since the start of my career eight years ago. I have been using ForgeRock for the past five years.

We were previously using a different solution, and switched as this product provided much better, and more efficient security for our customers.

We did previously use a different solution. Scalability and consolidated implementation was one of the reasons we had the previous product. However, I can't even remember the name of it. With the previous product, the problem was we had to put a base set up for every client differently when it is not a multi-tenant solution. That was one of the reasons we switched to ForgeRock. Even though the implementations are not multi-tenant, we can re-route all the IT management through ForgeRock at this point in time.

I have used SiteMinder and EmpowerID and a solution from Okta.

No, we chose ForgeRock as our first choice. Though we had many other products to look at, ForgeRock seemed to be very compatible with our customizations and ease of use requirements.

The support team is better than the other product we were using. If the support team is not good you have many issues.

I used Seapoint previously. 

I used Oracle AM a little bit. Its configuration is a bit confusing and takes a long time.

The key driver had been the migration from Sun IAM.

Sun Access Manager, and we switched because SUN does not exist anymore.

Yes, the old product was too big, inflexible and complex.
