What is most valuable?

The analysis engine is a very valuable feature. It's quite up-to-date. However, I have not been able to compare it with another manufacturer's product so I'm not really sure whether it is the best. But we just use information that we get from Ratna, and the popularity of Fortinet itself.

What needs improvement?

I'm not sure whether anything needs improvement because I feel we need to have more experience with it. Perhaps if there were issues where customers complained, that's when I would be able to comment on what could be improved. So far, I haven't come across any specific features that need improving… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Most of our clients will opt for us to manage the setup for them because the security is fairly new. Most of our customers feel it is better to outsource the management of security services for their hardware so they can focus on the business. We have our own team of security experts that are fully… more»

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend that for customers looking for a security solution, FortiSandbox is a good option. It's available on different platforms, both on and off-premises. It's easier for the customer to plug in any other security solution they may need to cover security issues depending on their… more»

How has it helped my organization?

Before we used this solution, our mail used to have a lot of spam and most of the time our main email account was blacklisted. Now it works well; we are whitelisted by all organizations, including… more»

What needs improvement?

They should provide bandwidth regulation so we can monitor and regulate bandwidth.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay on an annual basis. There are no additional fees, they mostly tell us what we have to pay. We have budgeted for it.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We had SonicWall, but it was not stable. With the number of users we needed, SonicWall became a bit overwhelmed.

What other advice do I have?

My advice is to get Check Point, even without trying it first. Use it, and you will be very, very secure. Check Point guarantees the security and stability of your network. I would rate this solution… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked at firewalls from Fortinet and Barracuda. We even brought guys here to test their solutions, but they were no match for Check Point. We are comfortable now with Check Point.

What is most valuable?

The feature I find most valuable is that this solution is pretty simple compared to Fortinet, which we used before we upgraded. It's really simple to use.

What needs improvement?

If you are not an IT expert, the solution is difficult to use. So it needs to be simpler for a non-IT person so that when you have an issue, you can you know that the solution is just a click away. Except for the more advanced things. So in… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price of this program is okay compared to Cyberoam, SonicWall and the rest.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've used Cyberoam and SonicWall, but I still prefer Sophos.

What other advice do I have?

I rate this solution an eight out of ten. I strongly recommend it to others. If you want something simple to work with, Sophos makes it very simple for you to use. From the implementation to the end.
