FortiGate Cloud has many features that we like. For example, we're using it for security incident management, threat intelligence, and vulnerabilities check. It's integrated with several Fortinet tools like FortiAnalyzer and FortiSandbox controlled through FortiManager.
The most valuable FortiGate Cloud feature is logging. It's there seven days a week, and there is no hard limit on logs or size restrictions. This much capacity will show up for that seven days. FortiGate Cloud offers many other valuable features like Fortinet Secure Gateway, SASE, and the Fortinet Security Fabric.

We like the availability of the hardware and the service that we get from FortiGate, as well as the kind of reach that they have as a part of their sales folks.
When we're upgrading, it's sometimes quite challenging, especially firmware. We usually don't upgrade unless we have a bug, and we still feel it's not safe to react instead of being proactive. We often have some delays when updating FortiGuard, too.
In the email security modules they have in their UTM, maybe they can include more extended or expanded features for the email security where users can have their own portal login to release blocked emails, as an example.
GUI access could be improved. It should be simpler to access everything from the portal. Once we log in to the portal, we should be able to access all the Fortinet Cloud options.

Things are moving increasingly towards hardware agnostic appliances, an area in which I would like Fortinet to be more focused and fast moving with that product line.
When it comes to technical support, the problem we have found is that if an issue comes, it takes a day to get everything resolved. It could be faster. They can be better at optimizing how they answer tickets in terms of response times. There must be ways to make the process more streamlined. It would make it easier for their clients.
