What is most valuable?

The most valuable features would be its ease of use and the easy integration.

How has it helped my organization?

It has improved my organization in the way that we've got a much better wireless coverage than we had before, and secondly, we have the visibility of all the users.

What needs improvement?

You can't really clone or replicate a device, that sort of feature would be useful. You can clone the site but you cannot clone the device.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Licensing is around under 1000 pounds. The licensing is either one year, three years, five years or ten years and during the licensing, we can choose to renew it per year or per every three years… more »

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We switched to Meraki from Fortinet. We switched because it was not easy to manage.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise someone considering this solution to go for it. I would rate it a nine out of ten.

What is most valuable?

This product is easy to use. The support is very good and they offer managed services. The dashboards are good. You can customize the dashboards as well as the reporting.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to anybody who is considering AlienVault is to implement a proof of concept to ensure that it meets their requirements. A PoC should be done before settling on any product. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are currently looking into implementing a PoC for either ManageEngine or FortiSIEM.

What is most valuable?

The security can't be compromised. The security features on offer are the most valuable feature and are why it's really worth having as a product like this in our organization.

What needs improvement?

The user interface could be more user-friendly. Technical support could be improved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's a fairly low-cost solution, so the pricing is pretty good.

What other advice do I have?

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. If it was more user-friendly, I'd mark it higher. Right now, technical people working on the solution don't understand what it is are trying to communicate in its tabs. As a company, you need to have a certified or experienced McAfee engineer there or on staff… more »
