It has an open API so it can integrate with just about any open system
Pros and Cons
  • "Google integrates well with our system. G Suite has an open API, so you can connect any open system with Google capable of working with API. This is the main reason we use it."
  • "Some people complain that Google Mail is inflexible. It was advanced 10 years ago, but other solutions are cleaner and clearer."

What is our primary use case?

We have about 200 people at our company using all aspects of G Suite, from Google Drive to Gmail.

How has it helped my organization?

Accessing G Suite is super flexible. You can use it wherever you are on any device.

What is most valuable?

Google integrates well with our system. G Suite has an open API, so you can connect any open system with Google capable of working with API. This is the main reason we use it.

Some people complain that Google Mail is inflexible. It was advanced 10 years ago, but other solutions are cleaner and clearer.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using G Suite for about three years.

The speed and agility of the product are its primary features
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features are the speed at which G Suite Enterprise works."
  • "I have had issues with my Google Address Book. I have an address book and it is available to everyone, but I cannot add additional users. In Microsoft Outlook, I could easily share certain contacts with other members of my team, but I cannot do so on G Suite."

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are the speed at which G Suite Enterprise works. I also like the archiving features which is also much faster than in other solutions on the market. In addition, Google Maps has been a valuable asset to share within my department, users in my organization, or in my user groups. All of the above features are easy to use and entirely secure.

What needs improvement?

I have had issues with my Google Address Book. I have an address book and it is available to everyone but I cannot add additional users. In Microsoft Outlook, I could easily share certain contacts with other members of my team but I cannot do so on G Suite. Also, 90% of the world is still using MS Outlook, so more users need to convert to the G Suite side.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable but we have had issues receiving emails from people who use Outlook. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it does not receive all the mail so we will have an incident where users have seen the mail via the browser in their inbox, but when they go into Outlook, it disappears. This has caused some concern for people in my organization. Some employees have lost important emails due to this problem. We opened tickets with Google but they said it is a problem with the fact that an Outlook platform was used. I have a feeling that it is not just my organization that is experiencing this issue.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I find the scalability is really normal. All one has to do is to notify the other partner or integrator if they want to increase the amount of users, and it is complete within a few hours. It is easy and simple.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have not really used tech support directly. We have a partner that helps us with tech issues.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used Microsoft Exchange and N-Notes.

How was the initial setup?

It was very easy to implement. It took maybe two or three days to deploy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is a bit on the higher side than normal. For a basic Google account it costs $100, but Enterprise is $150. Compared to other solutions on the same level, the pricing seems a bit high.

User-friendly with a good user interface and an easy setup
Pros and Cons
  • "The initial setup is very easy."
  • "I'm not sure if Google Drive has a customizing feature, however, if it did, then it would be better."

What is our primary use case?

I use it for mail purposes. I use Gmail and I use it for mailing people. I also use Google Slides for presentations and Google Sheets for data. It also has Google Docs, which I use for documents.

What is most valuable?

Its user interface is great. It's user-friendly. You don't have to look for support when using it.

Even the presentations and the docs, when you need formatting, it's all available there. Its reliability is very good and it syncs with the cloud.

We can mutually work on a document. It's great for real-time editing.

The initial setup is very easy.

What needs improvement?

I haven't come across any area that's really lacking.

I'm not sure if Google Drive has a customizing feature, however, if it did, then it would be better. We'd like the flexibility of customizing the way you want it to look.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze. Its performance is good.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is a very scalable product. If you need to expand, it's not hard.

We might have about 90,000 people using the solution.

How are customer service and support?

I've never had to contact technical support.

How was the initial setup?

The setup was very simple and straightforward. The deployment was on the cloud, so I did not have to do much. All I needed to do was activate the account to be set up and everything was on the cloud already. You just need a password and username to get started.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't deal with licensing. I can't speak to the exact cost.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and end-user.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using.

I'd recommend the solution as it is very easy to use. I'd rate it a nine out of ten based on its user-friendliness and easy setup.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Easy to deploy, user-friendly, and accessible from anywhere and from any device
Pros and Cons
  • "What I like most about Google Workspace is the Google Drive app because you can easily access it from anywhere and from any device. I also find the solution easy to use. It's user-friendly."
  • "What needs improvement in Google Workspace is the Google Drive app, in particular, making the process of finding the shared and most used files and folders easier. The first time you get an invite to view a file or folder in Google Drive and you view that folder or file, it's pretty easy, but the next time you try to access it again, sometimes, it's a bit difficult to find what was shared with you. An additional feature I'd like to see in Google Workspace is the option to un-send messages in Gmail. Microsoft has a message recall feature, and this isn't available in Gmail, so it's the feature I'd like to be added to Gmail."

What is our primary use case?

We've been using Google Workspace mostly for emails. We've also been using it for collaboration purposes.

What is most valuable?

What I like most about Google Workspace is the Google Drive app because you can easily access it from anywhere and from any device. I also find the solution easy to use. It's user-friendly.

What needs improvement?

What needs improvement in Google Workspace is the Google Drive app, in particular, making the process of finding the shared and most used files and folders easier.

Microsoft has a message recall feature, and this isn't available in Gmail, so it's the feature I'd like to be added to Gmail.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Google Workspace for more than five years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Google Workspace is a stable solution. There was only one instance when I couldn't access it, and the whole world couldn't access it as well, so overall, I find Google Workspace to be a very stable solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Google Workspace is a very scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

I didn't directly interact with the Google Workspace technical support team, but I'm not aware of any concerns about the support, so it's okay. At the moment, there's no problem with Google Workspace support.

How was the initial setup?

Setting up and deploying Google Workspace is easy as it's done on the web. It's a simple process, and on a scale of one to five, with one being difficult and five being easy, I'm rating the setup and deployment of Google Workspace a five.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I can't recall the exact pricing per user for Google Workspace, but I know it's not that expensive. I'm in a mid-sized company that's able to maintain and afford Google Workspace, so it has competitive pricing, and I would rate its price as four out of five.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I used Microsoft as well, but I prefer Google Workspace because of its ease of use and accessibility.

What other advice do I have?

My company has around one hundred fifty users of Google Workspace.

I'm rating Google Workspace eight out of ten.

My company is a customer of Google Workspace.

User-friendly but lacks in stability
Pros and Cons
  • "Google Workspace is an excellent tool for communicating with people, which allows users to collaborate and edit files simultaneously."
  • "I would rate the stability a five out of ten."

What is our primary use case?

I use it for communicating with people, editing files simultaneously, sharing files, and uploading documents.

What needs improvement?

From my point of view, there is a lot of room for improvement in the workspace, particularly in the cloud and premises environment. I would like to learn more about how to communicate, edit things, and use the cloud as a hosting environment for a website. I lead IT for websites in WordPress and have been using Google Workspace, but I would love to know more about how I could use Google Cloud for my purposes.

Additionally, I need to figure out how to manage phones, save things, and use the software for business management.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Google Workspace since it was first introduced. Whenever something new is released, I start using it immediately.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a five out of ten. From the products I have used so far with Google, I would rate stability around five because I've seen it keep developing and being stable in general.

How are customer service and support?

I had issues with Google Ads, which is another product of Google not exactly coordinated with Workspace. But I didn't have any issues with Workspace.

What other advice do I have?

In general, I trust Google products. I would definitely recommend using the solution. Overall, I would rate it around seven out of ten.

Affordable communications and collaborations solution
Pros and Cons
  • "Valuable features of the solution are that it's simple and effective."
  • "To a degree, the project management service could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for the solution is communications and to extend collaboration mostly around spreadsheets and a few groups, but mainly just to get teams on. We're working with fairly small teams, so I don't need a complex project management system at this stage. More and more I'm looking at using ClickUp somewhere down the line.

What is most valuable?

Valuable features of the solution are that it's simple and effective. The thing that I use most is access to documentation and being able to download a print; those are handy features for what I do. In general, basic communication administration.

What needs improvement?

To a degree, the project management service could be improved. I see the product is picking up task management specifically and we're trying to move away from emails as far as possible, but still sticking to the task management aspect.

Another area of improvement would be on the conversation side if you use the chat functions; it's a bit all over the place. But it again comes back towards the project management side, or rather workflow. To me, everything is a project, that's how I approach that.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using G Suite since it was Google apps, and that was around 2009.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability is fine. I would rather think the local networks are falling apart, so the response times are sometimes slow, but it's not really Google related, it's network related.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is fine. I've got one site with 50 users, so scalability doesn't really matter that in that environment. On the Google apps platform, it doesn't matter if you have one, or 10, or 100 users really, because each user is just functioning on its own space.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed Google support in the reseller environment. I once needed to recover a Gmail address, which somebody created for a company and then disappeared, so there's quite a lot of information on there. And Google actually didn't help me, we had to find another way to recover it.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to using G Suite, I used to run quite large projects on Microsoft Project. But that was before cloud was really involved.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. To integrate apps into G Suite is actually fairly simple. We're fortunately not sitting with a lot of disparate systems. I add one project and then I use IT to sync.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I would say the pricing is very affordable. To me it's cheaper to run a couple of users in a Google platform than what it would be with Microsoft Exchange. But of course, you've got Microsoft Cloud now, so I'm using that as well because clients require that.

What other advice do I have?

When considering G Suite, the key is moving from the old environment, Outlook, or whatever the case might be. I wouldn't use Outlook. I would just stick to the Google interface. But my advice is, if you want change, you've got to plan properly because you'll use it often. That is probably the biggest challenge.

I sell the product, and I would recommend it. I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
