My company uses GFI to safeguard our endpoint devices and prevent users from putting unwanted devices on the network. We also use it to provide visibility into all the elements in our network, as well as for patch management and updates.

Internally, as a user, I use GFI LanGuard for email and web monitoring.

The primary use case for us is for patch management.  

GFI LanGuard can be deployed on the cloud and on-premise. For approximately four years GFI LanGuard was on-premise, but now we moved to the cloud.

We use GFI LanGuard to patch clients' computers. We use it as a utility to install programs on the clients' computers.

The primary function for GFI LanGuard is as a patch solution, which updates all of my software. My second use is to perform vulnerability scans to give me insight into my network, and how it is looking. I also use it to check on the open ports, as well as to have visibility in terms of what is running on every user's machine.

I use GFI LanGuard to save bandwidth and provide protection from attacks.

Most of our clients are using this solution for patch management.
