We are a customer and end-user.

If you use this product for the first time, I would encourage you to try some sort of live demo. Go to see the product in action and understand how it works, and test it. To install it in the cloud, you can have a free license at the start or a limited license for some events. You can try to play with the product and create some dashboarding to ingest some logs.

You don't have to install the whole thing as it's complicated to install the whole product, and you need many machines, CPUs, and memory. It's a good idea to try it out in a small way to see if it fits your needs or if you like it.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. I had a good experience testing the solution.

This is a good solution for companies that are using, for example, open source or Linux options for all the tools or those coming from the world of open source.

I will be able to comment on whether Grafana is useful for you or not, depending on various factors. For instance, I would like to know the scale of your company, the products you are making, the scale of production, and whether you are a product-based or service-based company. Additionally, I would like to know what other features you require from your monitoring system.

If Grafana meets your criteria, I suggest using it because it is either free or comes at a cost. The free version of Grafana is usually sufficient for most users.

Overall, I would rate Grafana an eight out of ten.

It's very good to start with the open source and very seamless. You can directly connect your data sources to the solution. You won't have to worry about managing the Grafana UI because Grafana comprises two things, namely, the data source where you are connecting and the dashboard. Getting started with Grafana Cloud is good because it's very seamless, good, and helpful. If you want to scale and use Grafana as an observability tool, I would say you have to think twice before choosing it because there are a lot of gaps, especially on the APM side of its application and performance monitoring side. The infrastructure gets complex as it scales. For a small use case, for independent use cases, or for building simple dashboards, I recommend Grafana.

With Grafana's open-source, you download a package, put it in your server, and run it. I've used Grafana Cloud as well. For Grafana open-source, the login is limited to two or three people. More people cannot log in, and you can create multiple users. You can create around five to six dashboards and use 10 to 12 plugins. If you have just one or two use cases to be used, like if you have order delivery and you are looking for a tool, Grafana is a great one because the integration is pretty simple.

Overall, I rate Grafana a nine out of ten.

We are likely using the latest version of the solution. I'm not sure of the version number.

I'd rate the solution six out of ten. So far, I can't say it's doing more than our older monitoring was doing.

Grafana does not have straightforward documentation or direct answers on help pages. I would suggest Grafana users get support from another user or someone who already has used Grafana. While using Grafana, we need to understand how the queries are written to build a new chart. A new user would need to explore it, how it works, how to install it, etc. It would make it easier to use Grafana.

I give Grafana a rating of six out of ten because it is not very user-friendly. It also needs clear documentation and requires time to get started.

I give the solution an eight out of ten.

There are 40 people using the solution in our organization and it requires three people to maintain it.

I would recommend you try to use as many tools as you can. You can have an ecosystem that is quiet and works like using Temple, Prometheus, and so on.

I rate Grafana a six out of ten because Grafana has limited options compared to Datadog. Regarding advice, it was pretty simple to use Grafana. The trickiest part was creating a new dashboard, working on the query and adding the requirement. So you have to have the source and path handy to put that in the query. Any user can use Grafana once they understand what the dashboards are doing and what data is being searched from those dashboards.

The solution is a visualization tool that is pretty easy to use. Writing queries can be difficult so it is important to learn how to integrate with data sources before you write queries to visualize those metrics.

I rate the solution a six out of ten.

I'm currently using Grafana.

My company is a Grafana customer.

I'm using the open-source version of Grafana, 9.3.

Between sixty and one hundred people, mostly software engineers, use the solution in my company.

Grafana requires maintenance, and that's the responsibility of the entire team.

There's a plan to increase the usage of Grafana in other areas besides engineering. My company plans to create dashboards for data in other areas.

I advise people who want to use the solution to try it out first. For example, Grafana has many good integrations if you need to gather metrics, and you can technically use any query to create dashboards and graphs inside Grafana. I advise that you explore the solution.

My rating for Grafana is eight out of ten because it's a very good product. It's complete and has an open-source version with many features. However, some of its interface capabilities could be cheaper.

It is recommended for use, and in parallel, WebEx is another open-source tool. Both are straightforward to deploy on a Linux server. The process is simple and similar to each other, and there's no need for any complex procedures. Deploying these monitoring tools on a Linux server is hassle-free. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

I would suggest Grafana to those who use Zabbix because it helps users get a lot of information on networks and resolve a lot of problems.

I could do everything in Grafana with the help of graphs and documentation and get information on different types of devices.

I recommend this solution but for someone who doesn't have experience with Grafana, it may take a while to understand because it presents everything with a graphical representation and you need to figure out why there are multiple dashboards.

I was involved in the Broadcom DX APM. I did some POCs and created the dashboard.

There is a feature called DX Dashboards there. It was used in the Lucene queries, and the dashboards are very innovative, and users like it a lot based on the dashboards.

We're using the solution that's the latest version.

If a potential customer is already into any other dashboard view, I would advise them to create one free license and create dashboards and observe how it looks compared to their existing dashboard. That way, they'd be able to compare and see which would be better for them.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

The solution is good but it could be improved by including features that provide more detailed error messages as well as additional plugin options for the dashboard.

Grafana's usability depends on your perspective and function. In my current job, Grafan helps us with serverless solutions. However, Grafana cannot be helpful in monitoring, networking, and interfacing for routers.

My advice to new users of Grafana is to have nice documentation and a good knowledge base before performing tasks like installation or configuration.

Overall, I rate Grafana an eight out of ten.
