You have to plan. You have a certain number or gigabit of logs that you can index. You also have a limited number of series. For users, I don't remember if we had any issues adding users. However, there is a cost per the size of the logs or the number of series. Scaling will drive costs up. Right now, our IT and development team is on the product. They are encouraging other departments to try it out.

Kubernetes is pretty much easy, but Grafana needs to do a better job in Prometheus because right now, it doesn't support traftering the Prometheus. You need to add some other parts, which are called the SOAR, and that big scale to distribute between two Prometheus. That's not easy to do. So, Grafana needs to work on that.
For configuration on Grafana, just me. For using Grafana, there are around 12 developers using Grafana in our Organization.

View full review »While using the Grafana open-source version, scalability will definitely be a big challenge because you are not using an enterprise version. Grafana's open-source version is not scalable. It's useful for small use cases and specific use cases. Using the Grafana open-source version will be challenging if you want to deploy a hundred applications and bring up a hundred dashboards for different reasons. While it is possible to do, you will end up having issues.

Numerous users, ranging from five hundred to a maximum of three hundred, frequently engage in upscaling and downscaling activities. The system handles this well, and the performance remains stable, even when multiple users log in and out simultaneously.

The product works for monitoring as well, including log monitoring, monitoring, and alerting. However, we are using just the dashboard. Therefore, I cannot give my view on whether it is scalable or not.
We have about seven admins and 20 users on the solution.
