This solution is not scalable due to its inability to integrate with other solutions.
View full review »The solution's scalability can be a matter of concern because one license runs on one machine only. I think if you need scalability, then you need to have multiple licenses. When it comes to HCL AppScan, it's not a question of scalability. You can't run one license on multiple machines, as one license is only for one machine. In general, HCL AppScan is not scalable unless you buy more licenses.
The product's cloud version is scalable. We manage the product for enterprise customers consisting of 250 to 500 employees.

Scalability is a question that is determined by how you allocate your hardware. It is all about how you design your CICD program with HCL AppScan.
Scalability is quite simple to implement or achieve. Again, this is entirely dependent on your business requirements. Generally, or in short, scalability is not an issue with HCL AppScan.
This solution is used daily.

I rate the scalability a five out of ten. The solution is not enough for our needs. We are testing more than 50 companies with the solution. The largest company has more than 10,000 employees. We are planning to increase the number of users of the solution.

Scalability is good. However, this ties into the usability a little bit, because we have a million lines of code in one product and this is part of what makes AppScan Source so difficult to use. There are so many lines of code with so many different categories that I am likely to get lost.

I'm not directly working to scale the solution. I don't know how well it extends.
We have many people in our organization on the product.

When I worked on it, it wasn't in the cloud. It didn't offer Federation. Now, it is my understanding that it has those, which would make it very scalable. That said, when I used it, I would not give it a very scalable grade - maybe a two out of ten for scalability if you are using it off of the cloud. That said, that's not the latest version. The latest is likely more scalable, I just don't have experience with it.

The solution is scalable if required.
View full review »We're in the process of testing scalability, so I can't really speak to how broad that is because we're just parring up our entire installation of it. I am looking across other parts in our business where our more traditional products are that connect. So, we're looking to see how that scales. But, overall it's looking good.

In terms of scalability, we don't need much. So I can't really answer this question.
View full review »Since we're development, we don't usually have issues with scalability because it's only one application.

Scalability-wise, I'm not sure because you can buy the licenses depending on how many scans you want to do, but yes, it's scalable. I can do multiple scans simultaneously, but we have not tried more than that. I cannot tell you whether it can scale up to more than maybe two, three, or four simultaneous scans. We have not tested that.

View full review »It's scalable. In the beginning, we found some issues regarding installing the tool in an open-source Jenkins environment - Jenkins is a tool for open-source. Jenkins and other tools, they automate the process. Those tools call AppScan in a way to generate a proper time to do this. But after a couple of discussions, we solved the problem, so we don't have any issues anymore.
