Reasonably priced and the bandwidth management capabilities are good

What is our primary use case?

I am a solution provider and I deploy this product for my customers. Primarily, it is used for last-mile access. When I deploy it in an enterprise environment, It is normally for bandwidth control.

Pros and Cons

  • "The most valuable feature is its bandwidth management ability."
  • "They should improve technical support and make direct access available to the customers."

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is implementing MikroTik Routers is to make sure that they have the requisite toolsets onboard to manage the devices so that they don't run into problems. Otherwise, it is a good and inexpensive product to use. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Easy to use and configure and has a lifetime warranty

What is our primary use case?

Most of our switches are located within the local office.

Pros and Cons

  • "The best feature of this solution is the lifetime warranty."
  • "This solution needs to support software-defined networking."

What other advice do I have?

When it comes to HPE switches, as a recommendation, in the end it depends on the requirements. They have to know exactly what they need because HPE has all types and all levels of switches. They keep changing models, and sometimes we have challenges because we find out that two years later, the model is discontinued. Because of this, I say that it is important to purchase the latest model, and not one that is two or three years old because in another year it will be discontinued. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Good operational efficiency, easy to configure, and a good user interface

What is our primary use case?

We provide network solutions to our clients and Juniper Ethernet Switches are one of the devices that we install and configure for them. We are certified by Juniper to work with these switches. This solution makes up part of the physical network. We had one big project where we had to deploy Juniper switches with a firewall.

Pros and Cons

  • "The GUI interface distinguishes it from other vendors and makes it easy to operate."
  • "In the next release of this solution, I would like to see better integration with software-defined networking."

What other advice do I have?

In general, I cannot find anything that is bad about this product. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

A flexible solution that is suitable in many different networking environments

What is our primary use case?

We use this solution to build networks that interconnect different branches and buildings in different layers. We can also connect to a cloud environment. The model of switch that is used depends on the application. I prefer to use the 4500 series for the distribution layer, but for the access layer, the 2950 series is better.

Pros and Cons

  • "The most important feature related to this solution is that most of the time, it covers all of what we need for our projects."
  • "In the future, I would like to see more focus on software-defined networking solutions."

What other advice do I have?

Cisco is a market leader in this product. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

A feature-rich and reliable device that is easy to work with and has amazing technical support

What is our primary use case?

I'm a reseller and I supply these switches to customers. The use case of this solution is to connect endpoint devices through to the data centers.

Pros and Cons

  • "The technical support is fantastic!"
  • "The need to come up with a bit more flexibility in their range of models."

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend it 100%. Absolutely no problem with it. I would rate Aruba Switches an eight out of ten.
