Easy to add on services, relatively stable, and very scalable

What is our primary use case?

This solution is used to migrate data to the cloud. They have a few different ways that this can happen. You can use the public cloud or private cloud, for example. Or you can use a hybrid as well. If you want to add some services, they have that capability to do that. Even if you want to improve your network, and you want to add your storage, or you want to maybe improve the speed of your infrastructure, they have that capability.

Pros and Cons

  • "Microsoft offers free courses and an exam on their products. Many of my colleagues who use Microsoft Azure take advantage of those free courses to help them learn about the solution in depth."
  • "It would be nice if there was an on-premises version of the solution, and it wasn't just cloud-based."

What other advice do I have?

I'm a consultant. I work as a partner with Microsoft. We're using the latest version of the solution at this time. I would recommend the solution to others. I'd rate it nine out of ten overall.

Stable with good pricing but not yet mature enough

What is our primary use case?

We use the Oracle Cloud to migrate workloads from customers on-premise to the cloud.

Pros and Cons

  • "The simple infrastructure of the service is very useful."
  • "The scalability requires some improvement. This is one of the most important things they need to get better at."

What other advice do I have?

We're Oracle partners. We're using the current version of the solution. The solution has very good infrastructure. They are being very aggressive as they want to expand their footprint. In a few years, they will compete in a more balanced way against AWS and Microsoft and Google as well. Overall, I would rate the solution six out of ten. As it matures, it will become much better and be much more competitive.

Priced-well, easy to set up, and you can easily use it through a web browser

What is our primary use case?

I am in the process of migrating from on-premises to the cloud. We use it for IT infrastructure deployment and management.

Pros and Cons

  • "You can just connect and start using it through a browser within a few minutes."
  • "Monitoring and usage reporting could be improved."

What other advice do I have?

This is a good product, but I wouldn't immediately recommend it because there are a lot of options available. People have to choose based on their requirements and location. There is not much different, so people have to look at particular requirements, cost, and support. I agree that cost is a factor but support should also be considered because it is needed from time to time, and Google does not provide free support. Given that we are paying for the machine, we should have to pay for costly support in addition to that. This is a good product but I would like better monitoring, alerting, and…
