Real-time reading from ports was trouble. We used to miss a lot of data as the streams read from the port batch-by-batch and missed anything coming in-between. There was no document or logs on this.
We needed to write custom java operator for anything other than the basic functions, e.g., pushing to a webservice.
We faced some sync up problems between the streams at times.
