It is easy to scale. In my project, six or seven people are using this solution, but in my company, we have around 15 to 16 projects.

It is scalable and easy to extend. We have had issues with our data pipelines and were able to scale up within a few days.

There are around 150 users on the solution right now.

We do have plans to increase the number of users. We can easily increase or decrease as needed.

I'd rate the scalability a nine out of ten. I've used other solutions like Informatica, but I find IBM DataStage more comfortable in terms of scalability.

I work primarily with enterprise businesses.

I would rate the scalability of DataStage at around seven out of ten for our organization because our licensing is based on CPUs, which complicates scaling without hardware adjustments.

I would rate the scalability of this solution a five out of ten. It should be improved. We have almost eight end users in our area. Some are engineers, one is an administrator, and two of them monitor the pipelines. The rest are developers.

We plan to increase the further usage.

The solution's scalability is really good. In terms of parallel jobs, we are using multi-instance jobs where you can scale them easily.

In my company, my team is spread across multiple countries, including Pakistan and India.

I think that scalable systems should also have good performance. The scalability of this solution in my opinion may not be on the same level as Informatica Power Exchange Data Integration.

I give the scalability of the solution a seven out of ten. We are facing problems whenever we have huge amounts of data and there are job failures. We need to take care of how to tackle that situation.

I feel that the product has excellent scalability. We currently have more than 15,000 users as clients worldwide and scalability has never presented as an issue. It's used in the U.S., in Asia, and in Europe, so it seems to perform in various markets satisfactorily.

It's an enterprise-enabled product, so with that designation, it really needs to be scalable to satisfy the needs of clients — and those needs change all the time. It has the ability to connect reliably to a lot of sources and this is a very, very important thing for people who are using it.

It is not that easy to scale on-premises. I have worked on the ones deployed on Windows or Unix, and scalability is often dependent on whether you can add more CPUs or boxes. On the cloud, it would have been easier to scale. However, the current version can only be deployed on Windows or Unix.

It is quite scalable.

DataStage is okay, but the problem of scalability is with another component of the solution (Netezza). The main problem is with the client version of Netezza. IBM stops to support it, then they tell us that we need move to the next version of Netezza. However, the price is too high for the client and we need to look for another platform.

The client thinks that Datastage can stay in place with another platform.

There are not more than five data analysts and administrators using DataStage because it works at night with ETL processes. Therefore, end users are not using it. The several people who maintain and administer it are the users.

We have two data specialist who work with it. From the bank, there are about five people who use it.
