For web application firewalls we are actually currently using more than one solution. We are using both Imperva and AWS. Which solution that we use depends upon the environment and depends on the situation. So we are using both solutions but for different situations when there is an advantage to using the capabilities of one product over the other.

We used Akamai previously, but due to full PCI DSS compliance, we needed a proprietary solution for two-factor authentication. We then switched to Incapsula.

I did not previously use a different solution.
View full review »We previously used Cloudflare. Although a very good solution, it forces users to completely give up the DNS management of their domain, which most enterprises don’t want to do. Incapsula only needs a redirection of the actual web entry.

We are using our own firewall with the web application services. We used our own firewall before implementing with Incapsula, but we are also implementing it now under Incapsula cloud solutions.

We work with all of the Imperva solutions from the database, monitoring tools, and the web applications firewall.
View full review »We moved from CloudFlare because Incapsula’s minification was faultless, and their CNAME installation procedure avoided downtime for other services such as email.
View full review »Yes, we were using Barracuda Web App Firewall which we retired several years ago.
View full review »We went through at least a quarter million dollars in DDoS firewalls before we got to them. We tried solutions worldwide.
View full review »I didn’t use any other solution.
View full review »We did try CloudFlare, but the pricing didn't suit our use case too well.
View full review »Yes, we used Barracuda. The product was not difficult to configure but it didn’t work well. There was high latency in the product.
View full review »We previously used Akamai. Incapsula is much cheaper and the administration is much easier.
View full review »No previous solution used.

We didn't previously work with a different solution. We've partnered with Imperva so we're dealing only with them.
View full review »We had used many local, and some cloud-based solutions (like Azure, Advanced Nagios, Centreon). We switched for the scalability of the solution, the reporting features it has, as well as the availability to fine tune the solution.
View full review »I was not involved with any solution in the company prior to Incapsula. When I came to this company, we were using this solution.
View full review »We did not previously use any other solutions.
View full review »No, as we are a fairly new project so we have no other experience with another solution. However, we did look at CloudFlare, Limelight, and CDN networks.
I had a gut feeling about the product right from the get-go.
View full review »We were using Akamai and we switched to Incapsula mainly due to the WAF effectiveness and total cost.
We had a sysadmin but he was unable to keep up. No other parties were used.
View full review »We used a NetScaler mitigation appliance – nothing worked that well, we were getting attacks and they were taking down services.
View full review »We previously used Fortinet.
View full review »We did not previously use a different solution, but we researched other solutions. Incapsula was highly regarded and we were simply wowed.
View full review »CloudFlare and I switched because we needed more locations.
