Imperva DDoS Pricing
Pricing was a little higher but when compared to performance; it's very cheap.

The solution is very affordable. It's based on the traffic utilization, the average traffic utilization, not the DDoS traffic. Therefore, if you're being DDoSed, you don't pay extra for the absorption of the DDoS traffic. It's purely based on your average traffic.

The licensing of the solution is quite high. Licenses are quite expensive. I'm not sure if they really offer the value that they ultimately charge.
The cost is somewhere around $10,000 a site. For every site, you pay individually. For every DNS entry, you have you pay.

It is an expensive solution. The price is high as the level of service and security provided is high. A lot of customers tell us that they would love to use Imperva more. I have some customers who have 50 websites, but they protect only 10 websites on Imperva because of the price. They would love to have all their websites running through Imperva, but they can't. They have to choose the more critical websites to protect because the price is very high. It is a very good product, but it is expensive.
If you buy a plan for 20 megabytes and you don't consume all of your 20 megabytes, it is okay, but if you consume more, you are charged for the superior traffic.

Incapsula:
Pricing is described on their website, but for enterprise agreements, clarify with local reps, as there might be a need for customized needs/pricing. Be clear on how they handle domains and subdomains.
CloudFlare:
Pricing and licensing is very clearly described on their website; 1 site = 1 domain. Clarify how to support subdomains.
Setup cost was zero. Annual cost is $7,200.

We have a yearly contract and I am happy with the pricing. Imperva charges us based on bandwidth, which is better than other vendors that charge us according to data transfer. In these cases, our costs are quite high.
Outside of our package, there are no additional fees.

Incapsula is a SaaS (software-as-a-service) provider. Anyone can do the applications, but you must subscribe to the service.
Pricing is a challenge for most of our customers.
View full review »Go for the $59/month Pro plan. Free accounts can get terminated, and the higher plans are only if you like to have your own SSL certificate, or get regular DDoS attacks. The Pro plan has everything you need; it's just that you're using Imperva's SSL certificate, not yours.

The licensing depends on the client. Usually, it's yearly, but we do offer monthly financing.
The only thing I hear complaints about is that in some cases clients want to be able to scale down. They don't want to buy everything. That could be, in Sweden anyway, a big problem, because they need to buy more licenses than they will use. In some cases, some of the resellers would like if it was possible to scale down, to have smaller option. However, they don't have that.
