I rate Geneos eight out of 10 for stability. There is some lag and a few bugs, but the vendor addresses issues quickly when we complain. They will note the bug and attempt to resolve the problem in the next release.

View full review »ITRS Geneos is a stable product and we have not had any downtime in the past eight years. The stability portion is good, but we do need to configure new applications correctly for the solution to stay stable.

The stability is better now. We had some issues early on, about three years ago. I'm not saying that they were the product's fault, they may have been mine. But now, it's very stable and doesn't require a lot of coaxing to keep running.
View full review »Its stability is very impressive. It's very solid. We haven't had any flaky stuff going on in the last couple of years. We obviously follow the recommendations and baseline regarding setup, et cetera. In that regard, we haven't had any serious issues.

One of the aspects I really liked about Geneos is that it is stable. It keeps the application stable where it is running and doesn't disturb the environment it is monitoring. This is a big plus point because the noise of monitoring can start to bother us and make our environment unstable. Geneos has an edge in that it is fairly stable and doesn't disturb the environment.

It is stable.
There is very little maintenance for Geneos itself. Sometimes, you have to upgrade it. Effort is more about building standards and improving the capability of the solution.

The stability has improved, as we purchased an upgrade. Now it's pretty stable.

The stability has been very good so far. There are times when we overload gateways, but that could be something we're doing wrong or things that we haven't learned yet.

In the early days, around 2009 or 2010, there were performance issues, which have been addressed. Over the last five to six years, we haven't faced any kind of challenges related to stability. As long as your deployment is correct and you implement it in the right way following the recommendations, it's a very stable product.

It's fairly reliable.
There are always glitches, but they seem to be fixed reasonably quickly. And, in general, it does what it says it's going to do.

The stability is very good. Very rarely do we have an outage with Geneos. We do sometimes have outages with the agents, the Netprobes, usually due to the loads that we are trying to get them to do.

It's absolutely stable. I've never had a problem with the actual ITRS gateway software.
I definitely found bugs early on and they would correct them pretty quickly. But in the last five years I haven't found any bugs, and if we ever have an outage it's because of either the network or the server that the gateway is running on. But the software is absolutely stable. It's probably the most stable software that I'm responsible for at this point.

The stability is quite good. It's what I expect. It's commensurate with a product of that flexibility and price point.
View full review »We had no issues with the performance.
View full review »I have not observed any stability issues so far. ITRS has a transparent failover mechanism. If the primary gateway fails, the secondary gateway takes over. I have seen the active console freeze while it’s failing over, but everything recovers within a few minutes.

Up until now, there has been no failure in ITRS. Currently, it's stable. Because the number of servers, the monitoring alerts, rules, and categories is increasing, we have to increase the number of data servers. But it's currently stable. There is no problem with the stability of ITRS.
View full review »Fortunately the system is very stable - we have never seen an application level incident with the monitoring system itself. The gateway has a redundancy mode which we enable so we have a live/live environment.
