What do you think of JIRA?

Primary Use Case: We used JIRA for: Writing down requirements and stories. Analysis Creating tasks, subtasks, and defects. It also helped tracking the sprint process more efficiently. • Improvements to My Organization: It gave us control over all test artifacts in one place, along with easy traceability, mapping between stories, bugs, test cases, and test cycles. • Valuable Features: The traceability mapping feature is something that became very useful, especially during releases and bug fixes. The creation of epics and stories/defects is also very useful and simple. • Room for Improvement: It should have its own repository for test case creation, so that one does not have to resort to third-party tools and plugins. • Use of Solution: One to three years.

What do you think of IBM Rational DOORS?

Primary Use Case: I am within the automotive electronics industry. The requirements management widely used in my field for change management is the key to delivering your product without any hitches. It is hard to manage requirements in a big project, therefore having a traceability feature is great. • Improvements to My Organization: Traceability on requirements for a huge project in an organization is a big gain. • Valuable Features: Traceability The ability to use any type of document in any format. These features make our job easier in requirements management.   • Room for Improvement: I would like to see them improve in agile management the Scrum/Kanban Board to work with overseas team members. • Use of Solution: Three to five years.
