Without Jamf Pro, our Mac and executive support teams would have to directly interact with hundreds of devices per day, installing apps and updates or managing settings.  

Jamf helps us achieve a standardized environment by keeping devices on current or N-1 releases, and notifying users when they have required actions pending.

Jamf makes deploying customized installations trivial by natively supporting all macOS scripting languages (bash, Python, etc).  When other operating systems in my organization need days to repackage something, my team deploys in hours.

As we are new to managing Apple Macs. The first improvement we noted is that we now manage Macs with a professional system. We have not needed any further training as the Jump Start, which is included when you start using Jamf Pro, is great. We do not have to install and manage our devices by hand. We can always see in which condition our Macs are and help our users as fast as possible to install the newest version of the software they use. We can also see if a Mac device will no longer be supported and can save a version of macOS which can increase security.

It is easy, fast, and reliable to set up, maintain, and change settings/new apps/profiles/printer settings for all our devices. 

Having reporting functions and Smart Groups to give a real-time and up-to-date status on the progress and installations is a must in a large environment. Students and Staff rely heavily on up-to-date devices, OS, and apps - whether they are on the school campus or studying remote from their homes. 

With the sudden lockdown scenarios and little time to prepare for Remote Learning in a school, it was so comforting to know that the tech wouldn't be an obstacle (as school administration feared).

I led districts deploying full one-to-one device rollouts of MacBooks and iPads back to the days before there even was a product called a MacBook Air and iPads were still very new. 

I have seen the struggles and rewards of one-to-one deployments and JAMF has been there every step of the way. As the years have gone by and I continued using JAMF, I watched as it grew in popularity and reliability. Through it all, I can honestly say that the company and the product are strong factors in why I have stayed in Mac Administration for as many years as I have. 

The product itself gets better year by year. In the early days, there were some shaky deployment times and bugs, but they have always been quick to patch and offer top-level support for any issues that we faced. Nowadays JAMF is day one support and deployment-ready. 

When managing over 6,000 Apple products across 11 sites that is a must! Users want the latest and greatest from Apple, and JAMF makes sure we can offer that but also keep machines compliant and secure with day one compatibility. Speaking of compliance, JAMF gives us all the tools we need to make sure our devices are locked down and can only be used by the users we assign them to. We also have all the tools needed to keep their data safe and secure. If a device goes missing, we can use the toolset in JAMF to lock, locate and recover the device. 

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this product and company. The size of deployment I have been able to deploy and refresh yearly would have simply been impossible without JAMF. There may be other MDM solutions out there, however, none of them have the full feature set that JAMF gives me to keep my end-users and machines in a happy state.

JAMF is more than a product though. It’s a family of Mac Admins who love Apple. JAMF is both the company employees and their customers together. We all support each other through the community forum called JAMF Nation. Users can offer tips and support to one another, report bugs or concerns, and simply geek out about Apple administration. 

JAMF employees also join in there and connect in ways I have not seen other companies do. They even have a site called JAMF Heroes that allows employees and customers to connect even more deeply in an almost Facebook kind of fashion while keeping it focused, fun, and professional. Calling support is also a win as I have always gotten top-level support and my issues or concerns are resolved quickly and efficiently.

In closing, JAMF is more than a product or company. It is a family and is simply a must for anyone who has Apple devices in their organization and wants them to be safe and secure.

Jamf Pro improved our organization by becoming our go-to management system and also inventory system. We can put certain devices into smart groups based off of device name, department, etc.  

Once they are in their smart group, they can easily get the proper apps and configurations to customize those apps. It has also improved our organization since we can see when devices have last communicated with Jamf including what its last (public and local) IP address was, and battery status. This helps us locate lost devices as we can check the IP address in our Network Monitoring System and pinpoint where it was last.

Jamf Pro has made it possible to go to an almost 1:1 student to iPad ratio. Without Jamf Pro, that just would not have been possible to manage. With this 1:1 experience for students, learning and engagement are at an all-time high for our district. I feel overall Jamf Pro has made buy-in by staff, students, and parents that much more.

This product is very useful in the terms of creating and protecting security norms. Our security norms are very strict and this product is fulfilling all those requirements. For example, in macOS, we don't allow users to enable the root account. We have disabled it. We have disabled it with the help of a script. However, if users enable it, we have the script in place which automatically disables it again. This is the feature which I like most. This is one example of how it has allowed us to gain control within our organization.

There is no step three, which says everything. We ship the device to the customer and he sets it up easily at home. It was great during Covid and gave the users an easy start. 

Having less effort in onboarding new employees and providing them a great and one-of-a-kind start with their work equipment was useful. Only one person is needed to manage and support about 400 users. We need less people to provide support compared to the quote we have had for our Windows Fleet. We created an in-house macOS Community who are helping each other as well.

It has completely enabled us to have a remote deployment solution for our users across the globe, as well as full management of the devices like we've never had before. It's also given us the power to let the users service their own devices via the Self-Service portal, extremely minimizing the amount of service calls our support teams to get now. 

Its also given us insight into how the devices are used on a day-to-day basis, allowing us to trim our available catalog and tailor the devices we deploy to their actual needs.

Jamf Pro has improved our organization by offering a bird's eye view of our Apple devices. We are able to monitor our assets and ensure they are up-to-date, compliant, secure, and being used as intended. 

Jamf Pro does a great job of staying out of the way of the end user while remaining very hands-on for admins at the helm. 

Jamf Pro is very quick in the way it reacts to the device in question. Even for actions that have a large scope, Jamf works very quickly - almost in real-time. 

Thanks to Smart Groups and patch management, a lot of the work being done is via a hands-off approach.

As our number of students grew and grew, staffing also grew, which means more and more devices. Apple has been the vast majority of devices in the school, including BYOD devices. We had to move to a more modern management system that would be easy and gave us future features and protection. Jamf was the solution! We migrated and moved all our packages, software, and scripts from Munki (an open-source local solution) to Jamf and got to work on improving and using the more modern features that both Apple and Jamf offered.

Jamf brings the best MDM solution along with the best end user experience. As a product, it is best in class. I like the product overall, including its services like policy for deployment of apps, scripts, integrations, or configuration profiles which gives you granular control allowing you to make sure the device is compliant with respect to OS hardening standards. 

Jamf Service empowers the users with the self-help capability to install, uninstall, or reinstall an application on their own - along with Quick Link Bookmarks or ebooks and its seamless integration with Mac App Store apps. I have been using Jamf Pro for a few years now, and I'm impressed with its functionality and ease of use. The platform offers great features for managing Apple devices within our organization, from Macs and iPads to iPhones. The interface is straightforward and intuitive, and the support team has been very responsive whenever we needed help.

Before Jamf, I manually installed all the applications, updated the operating system, and ran diagnostics. I would go from station to station, which took a long time. I also coordinated with each user to find time for their updates or maintenance. 

Now, with Jamf, almost all of it is managed remotely. I generally don't need to schedule time with the user. I program updates or new installations after hours, which works better for everyone. Now that we are working remotely, those tasks would be challenging.

It has made our day-to-day job so much easier since implementing Jamf Pro at our company. We have a simple to use one-stop-shop for all our Apple devices. We can manage all our Macbooks and see what apps are installed or even see what macOS version they are on. Then we can remotely force install the newest version of the macOS and either allow the user to upgrade on their own or force it to upgrade then and there. Jamf Pro is great for lost devices as well, they have a "Lost Mode" command that will ping their last known location and even make a noise.

Jamf Pro allows us to maintain an updated and consistent user experience in our classrooms while reducing the hands-on time required from our techs. Long gone are the days of running around (or even manually logging in via ARD) to update our classroom systems.

Jamf Pro is also helping our techs to more efficiently deploy new Macs to faculty and staff.  This is also a boon for security, as faculty and staff no longer need to have a secondary account for admin purposes - or worse, run as admin day-to-day.

Jamf Pro has allowed us to make sure settings for our devices are easily installed so our end-users don't need to worry about a significant amount of steps for setup. We also use this to send applications to devices as well as the day-to-day usage of devices, we have a significant deployment that occurs every year with mobile devices for new students. We have also been able to use Jamf Pro to begin building a better inventory of our devices, have greater insight into patch management, and making sure our devices are up to date.

With Jamf, we can create almost a zero-touch deployment which saves a lot of time with flashing the OS, manually installing the apps, and configuring some settings.

This has enabled us to save time for each onboarding/offboarding/laptop change.

I worked in an environment where we had only 10 Macbooks and no MDM, and without Jamf, it was super hard to manage the Macbooks. With self-service, the sky is the limit. You can do whatever you want with it.

There are some out-of-the-box integrations that can help you achieve some results.

Without Jamf, it would be nearly impossible to manage 700 Macs and 700 iPads. With limited staff, we can manage this number of devices with ease. Imagine having to go to 700 devices to do a software or OS update. With Jamf, we don't have to touch each device. We can easily determine software and OS versions on the devices and push updates to the devices as needed. We also offer several macOS and iOS applications in Self Service, which is a repository where users can install company-approved applications with ease.

Primarily, it has enabled us to manage all of these devices without the need for a large IT staff. We are a small organization and trying to manage these devices without a tool like Jamf would require significantly more staff or we would need to rely on end-users to manage certain things themselves. This has especially been useful as everyone has started remote work. Also, Jamf has made it possible to ensure that all of our endpoints are compliant with our IT and InfoSec policies, which is crucial in our industry.

We are a K-12 private Christian school located in Maryland. Due to this, we have several sets of regulations that we are required to be compliant with for child safety when using computers or mobile devices.

When we decided to implement our Apple 1:1 device program, we chose Jamf Pro as our MDM vendor. Starting out on-site as Casper Suite and then migrating to the Cloud as Jamf Pro, Jamf has allowed us to maintain compliance with the Child Online Protection Act and all applicable educational regulations.

A good use case would be the end-user experience. The end-users are excited and happy that they're able to be more productive because they're able to access approved applications and self-service. They're able to submit tickets to the help desk, in which, if they need an application approved, it'll go through an approval process.

Anything outside of the core application suite, you'd have to get approval. At the same time, they like the aspect of being streamlined like that.

Overall, it's quite helpful and productive.

Jamf Pro has allowed us to go from a reactive team to a proactive team. We know that our Apple products are managed safely and securely. 

The integration of our IDP has been crucial as well. During enrollment, a user will be asked for their credentials, then Jamf Pro assigns the device to that user. This makes it easy for an administrator to quickly know who has what devices. It also makes it easy to ensure the right people get the right software when needed. Jamf Pro is awesome.

The solution allowed software deployment without having to use admin credentials and remote control sessions. Jamf cut the time it takes to deploy a new machine to a new user. We are able to group departments quickly and deploy the correct work environment every time.

Jamf also keeps a store and list of our available software titles that the end-user can choose from if needed. Once they find the title they need they can download and install it on their own without creating a ticket with the IT department. This saves us a lot of time.

Without Jamf we wouldn't be able to manage the systems at all. I have looked at many other solutions over the years. I have been a Mac admin, and Jamf provides the only complete solution for managing Macs at large and small scale.

Currently, only a small team manages over 500 Macs with plans for growth over the next two years. In the past, I have managed over 2000 devices with only two administrators. This wouldn't be possible without Jamf Pro.

We have found Jamf to be the critical part of everything.

Having the ability to automate our workflows has been great. Also, having the knowledge base of other Mac Admins at our disposal with the Jamf Nation, that's something that very few if any, MDM providers have.

We currently have a zero-touch workflow, where we are able to deploy the full MS Office Suite, complete encryption, and block activation lock, all while the device is being enrolled for the first time.

The user doesn't have to reach out to IT at all during the process, which definitely improves the onboarding experience.

Jamf Pro centralizes management for all corporate Apple devices, and Jamf Self Service has helped us eliminate unnecessary help tickets. We opted for Jamf Cloud, which has reduced our workload because Jamf takes care of all the maintenance, upgrades, and backups.

Jamf pro gives you the best tool to manage your Apple macOS fleet in your company. Unfortunately, Apple is limiting the way you can manage macs compared to how you manage Windows devices. Therefore you need an elegant strategy to manage your devices. Jamf pro helps you with that. The combination of the Apple MDM commands and the Jamf binary helps you to get the most out of it.

Everything Apple does not enable with MDM commands, you can take care of with scripting and custom policies. With that, your options are almost endless for managing your Apple macOS devices.

I have been using Jamf pro since May 2015 and there is no other vendor who does such great work, helping you succeed with your macOS devices.

It has made the management of macOS much easier and we are able to standardize and have our Macs in compliance. Although we're predominantly a Windows environment we've had challenges integrating our macOS devices but Jamf has made it simple with compliance deployments and when it comes to pushing out security patches and monitoring the devices remotely. It also helps monitor devices in our zero-trust environment. 

Being able to push out elevation policies to users on an Adhoc basis helps us when users are not in the office.

Jamf Pro has streamlined and organized the way we do business. We are able to manage our full fleet of devices and can simply integrate with all of our systems. Jamf has made this a very easy task and has been amazing.

With Jamf, we are able to give specific access to our local admins so that they can manage devices without the help of our more senior admins. We can allow some things and not others. And, we now have a solid idea of where all of our devices are and who has and does not have them.

The very first thing is that it provided a way to manage all of the unmanaged macOS devices across the globe, which was achieved through Jamf Pro Cloud. Jamf is stable, reliable, secure and you have lots of customization options.

We are able to integrate with centralized third-party apps without any issues, which is a win-win situation for us.

Software and hardware inventory is one of the key and important factors when it comes to inventory management. Advanced search reporting is a very powerful feature of Jamf Pro Cloud and the good part is that you can also utilize the Jamf Pro Classic API with it.

I am now able to easily manage all of my systems and patch when necessary, with little to no interruptions to the customer. It has saved me tons of time, as well as the IA team when I gave them rights for reporting.

Jamf Pro has helped me educate a Windows-centric agency with an Information Assurance team that is also strictly experienced with Windows. Everyone was fearful of Macs and their integration into a Windows infrastructure and domain. Jamf Pro’s similarities to Microsoft’s SCCM for Windows assets helped me prove that Macs can be as useful, if not more than Windows in some cases, and very easy to secure and keep secure, even with major upgrades.

When we started using Jamf Pro on-prem, we began really managing macOS devices. Later, iOS devices joined, and after that, managing AppleTV's made us gain a lot of time. Without Jamf Pro, we would not have been so successful and quick at implementing such a high number of devices in our classrooms. The management facilities helped us a lot.

Most of our macOS devices were admin only, and Jamf Pro helped us to convert them to standard user devices with LDAP binding.

Support has always been available for us.

Things are more automated, so we can be much more hands-off while having greater visibility into what is going on in our environment. We used to have to touch every iPad multiple times per year; with the innovations that Apple has come out with that have been implemented by Jamf, like volume purchasing and device-based app deployment, we can set things up to work automatically. Things that would have taken us weeks in the past now take us mere minutes.

With Jamf reset, we can save time at the end of the school year by having the end-users erase the devices for us. This is a recently-added function and the solution keeps getting better and better.

With so many devices and such a small technical staff to support them, we needed a tool that allows us to minimize tech issues. This tool allows us to push apps to student devices and teacher computers, lock down missing devices, and push an alarm to a misplaced device. All excellent tools to have in your belt for day to day operations.

For example, the first enrollment to our company’s Jamf Pro installs Microsoft Office, Global Protect VPN, and sets the password requirements, assigns the device to the user, helps to get the 1Password license, and more. The user is also presented with a self-service application that contains all sorts of useful stuff.

Device management is very much better with Jamf! Prior to using this solution, we only used ARD for management. Jamf takes the complication out of all of it. I can easily push scripts to end-users in the background without interrupting their workflow. This is something for which they are grateful.

Integration with Apple's DEP program and the ability to image systems quickly and efficiently is one of the best features. I use Jamf Pro to push out remote access tools that allow us to help our users with issues that require more "hands-on" than only MDM can provide, which is nice as well. Setting policies, and blocking software and processes has been useful to keep users safe, along with Self Service to install approved apps and updates for those users. I couldn't imagine operating the way we did before Jamf Pro.

We have complete control over all of our Macs, which helps us with our security needs. For example, helping us getting our ISO27001 certification. Since you can distribute packages, apps, and scripts you can get this to tie in to basically anything.

We also use it with Jamf Protect, which gives us fantastic insights into how our organization is doing from a compliance perspective without really needing to do any work for it.

We have quite an advanced setup for the Macs, while the setup for iPhones is more basic (since you "only" can utilize the MDM framework). However, that is more than enough.

We now make less on-site visits. Jamf has self-service, where you can upload packages and scripts that anybody using a company owned Apple device can use. Users are less dependent on IT.

We could not do the scale and the consistency of support without Jamf. We would have to hire a team of employees and still not have the level of end-user support we can deliver with Jamf. We can automate the entire setup process, fix problems in a moment's notice and from anywhere in the world.

Zero-touch deployment is very helpful to us. We deliver new or refreshed Macs or iOS devices directly to new employees.

Also, we provide BYOD for iOS, so it is possible to check mail using private devices. We don't have to push all of the software, as the company store (self-service) allows for the downloading of all necessary applications.

It’s a useful tool for a larger organization to manage its Apple Devices. Jamf has improved the function by putting support to unknown devices. My workplace had bought a lot of iPads outside of DEP without a good method to track them. What happened with Jamf is all of the unknown Apple Devices were put under one solution to help all of us better use these assets. The same thing happened with the computers, because now there was a method to manage them without sacrificing control.

One way the solution has improved the organization is through deployment. Deployment used to be a big hassle, and now it can be done remotely. Even before the goods are given to the customer, it is configured for them. So, when they open, it's ready for them as an enterprise. All the software is there. They just need to switch it on and it's configured automatically. They don't need to configure all security features, software, patches, whatever is there on their system. It can be remotely managed, including security, and everything is a part of it.

The use of Jamf Pro has massively streamlined our process of working with Apple devices. Before Jamf, we would individually set up and install software on student and staff computers. This was a huge undertaking and has been made so much easier with the help of Jamf, being able to set this up for deployment beforehand.
