Jamf Pro Other Advice
There's a reason that Jamf Pro is the gold standard for Mac management.
View full review »I recommend Jamf Pro. There is another supplier called Kandji, who is probably the next best thing to Jampf. If you have a small installation, you might want to consider Jamf Now or Kandji. However, if you have a complex environment with different site locations and probably nationwide or continental-wide, Jamf Pro is a better service to leverage device management in a complex environment. I rate Jamf Pro a nine out of ten.

I'd definitely advise giving it a try. Give it some time because it would take some time. There is learning involved to learn the product, but the community is great, and you can learn from the community. It takes a little bit of investment from the customer standpoint to get to another product, but once you get over that hurdle and kind of understand the environment, it's really going to help you. So, try it, and once you get to a certain point and start using it, you're going to fall in love with it. It's going to be great.
Overall, I'd rate Jamf Pro a 10 out of 10.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using.
In my organization, we have lots of Mac devices. I always give the advice to my colleagues or my friends that if you have more Mac devices, then definitely go with Jamf, however, if you're not using Mac devices and you have fewer iOS devices it may not make sense.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. It is a solid product.

RECIT - Educational Technology Consultant at a legal firm with 1,001-5,000 employees
Jamf's reporting and inventory management features have been crucial in compliance and auditing processes. Particularly, for our school's replacement plan mandated by the law, the ability to easily identify and document every iPad and iPhone in our inventory was crucial. Jamf made the process seamless by allowing us to extract the necessary data, customize it in Excel, and present a comprehensive snapshot for each school.
For new Jamf users, my advice is to prioritize training, breaking it down into manageable chunks to absorb information effectively. Before purchasing, focus on initial installation, app management, and system configurations. Recognize the importance of proactive technicians to ensure a smooth implementation. Be aware that even free apps may require purchasing within Jamf. Understanding options like one-to-one, shared devices, and Jamf Classroom is crucial. Sales pitches are valuable for tech departments, but communication with end-users (teachers and students) is equally important. Overall, I would rate Jamf Pro as a nine out of ten.

You have to make sure you have a good engineer who knows how to use the tool, and you're off to the races.
It is a very powerful tool, and you can do so much with it. Therefore, you'd have to figure out:
- What does success look like?
- What is your end goal?
- What do you want to achieve?
- Why do you want to use Jamf Pro?
- What is your use case?
Once you have an idea of what you really want to do, it's very easy to execute that. Some people flounder when they get a tool like this because they have no idea what they want. The best thing is to keep it simple and then build upon a good, sound foundation of simplicity. That's what I've found out. If you jump into using this tool and want it all at once, you might get a little overwhelmed.
I would rate it a 10 out of 10. As compared to any of the others, it is best-of-breed.

Jamf Pro are the trusted partners for Apple. So they are the first one who implement any technical changes that Apple is making. Jamf is the first product to ensure those changes are getting replicated or getting affected and getting implemented actually in their product.

They are really evolving, and there have been a lot of improvements since 2017. I like the changes that have been made.
It is now designed in such a way that it can serve the needs of any organization. I have not encountered any issues where I felt it could have been significantly improved, and a specific feature could have greatly aided in addressing issues. So far, everything is running smoothly.
It is recommended for any of our organizations. Jamf Pro is superior to MDM on an Apple platform. If you put Jamf into context and you only want to manage Apple, I believe this is one of the best options.
It can be argued that the fact that it only supports Apple is either an advantage or a disadvantage.
Jamf is your go-to solution for managing your Apple Suite. You should investigate and deploy this product.
I would rate Jamf Pro a nine out of ten.

My advice for anybody who is implementing Jamf is to get the cloud version first and immerse yourself in it. The key is to always look at the admin guide, which can be very helpful. I would also suggest leveraging Google because if you search for Jamf Pro, there are a lot of videos where they show you how to do certain implementations. In summary, I would say that the best thing is to do your research.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

We are very happy with the product. It works well. We're three people looking after it, and it's not that difficult to run and maintain. Some of the things always need to be changed with the new versions of macOS coming out, but otherwise, it is going well.
I would rate it a 10 out of 10. There is no problem, and it is doing well.

We've been in deployment for about 12 years, and we used open-source products initially, but now we need zero-day support for Apple, and the only good product we have found is Jamf. All others have been good for one or two years, but they stop delivering and maybe disappear.
Jamf is still there after all these years, and they continue to improve the product. With Intune, Microsoft decided not to offer device management for the macOS. Instead, they chose to have Intune integrate with Jamf.

Jamf Pro is used by some of the most notable enterprise organisations in the world. I believe IBM uses Jamf to manage all their devices, for example. That is pretty interesting, considering they make their own device management solution; and IBM has probably got the largest deployment of Macs on the planet! If that's not a recommendation for anybody, I don't know what is. I'm also aware ARM use Jamf as well, as does Dyson. These major companies would not be using the product if it wasn't doing what they wanted.
I would rate the solution ten out of ten. It's excellent. I have nothing bad to say about it at all.

My advice for anybody who is interested in this product is to test it. All new customers can get a 30-day trial, and I suggest contacting a reseller.
I cannot see any need for additional features because the vendor is very Apple-focused, and I don't know of anything that can't be managed using Jamf Pro.
Overall, this is a very good product, but nothing is perfect and there are always things that can be better.

For others thinking about trying Jamf, I think seeing is believing. Look at the product and evaluate it first before going for the product. They have a fantastic team and channel partners. Businesses can always approach either Jamf or a local channel partner in their respective country, and they can go for a small POC setup which Jamf will be more than happy to do for them in their respective countries. I'm sure the evaluation, the product demo team is very good, and they should be able to take care of most of the customer concerns and whatever they're looking for.
I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.
