Feature-wise, it is a good product. I have implemented the solution in a big company. It is one of my projects where I implemented JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Its user interface and ease of navigation are valuable. The functionality and enhancement capabilities in terms of development, browsing tables, et cetera are also valuable.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne's most valuable feature is its one consolidated platform that runs all the different aspects of companies.

The good thing about it is that it is very customizable. We can modify it the way we want.
With the new versions, it has become very user-friendly. We have integration with mobiles, and we have cloud-based solutions. There are a lot of things that can be done by front-end users without technical knowledge. They can create reports without having to do any coding, and it's very good now.

Global Oracle JDE Practice Head at a tech services company with 10,001+ employees
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has improved within all the solutions and there have been a lot of investments by Oracle in these solutions. Most of the functionalities, and business requirements, are available for the system in the solution and there have been enhancements to the processes, UI, and tools, which have been done on a regular basis.
The inbuilt BI user experience and enhanced UI analytics, are very good. These are key features I love about the solution. It is more user-friendly with functionalities continually updating and there's less technical dependency. Rather than hiring a technical person to explain everything or doing the development for you, anyone can do it on their own without any technical help, such as the end-users.

The most valuable feature is the user experience, where you can create your own queries, it sends you alerts, and it's very flexible.
The interface is very user-friendly. As long as you apply logic, it is easy to do the technical stuff. It is structured well so you don't always have to depend on technical people to do things like create reports.
It has the latest features in terms of embedded mobility and orchestration.
The integration with other products is easy to do.
Customization is easy to do, as long as you stick to their rules. It can be customized in a cloud-based deployment, as well.
There are tools in place that allow users to update the system themselves, without any technical support.
Support for developers is easy because they have their own toolset. They have options for using SQL, RPG, and different languages, depending on the hardware that you're using.

JDE E1 Technical - Senior Consultant at a tech services company with 201-500 employees
I like all of the progress Oracle has made with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. They have introduced a new tool, Orchestrator, in the most recent version or the most recent separated version of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. It is a replica or a replacement for the development of business services, in my opinion. We use the Orchestrator tool to develop the orchestration processes, which we then use for data migration from the Legacy system to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and vice versa if you're using that tool.
I like the terminologist, which I would say is a must-have feature that was missing when I was using OneWorld. Prior to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, there was OneWorld, and there were no requesting tokens, holding tokens, or resuming the object for myself. Unless I give them permission, no one else can check it out and start working on it to write code. As a result, that is an enhancement to the OneWorld in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
I have worked with various types of objects. I have worked with almost all types of objects. I was given an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne objects.
The 1V reporting is straightforward and simple to use. Creating 1V reports does not require any technical knowledge. This is quite interesting, and I know how to work on it; it is not a part of improvement, and I am aware of it. Aside from that, I haven't worked on any JD Edwards EnterpriseOne E1 pages.
I'm really looking forward to some opportunities to get some work done on it so that I can learn JD Edwards EnterpriseOne E1 pages and gain some experience.
They have all of the good models, such as finance, supply chain, recruitment, HRMS, accounts receivable, and payable.
Despite the fact that it is an old technology, we still have good projects and good work. It's an excellent technological product that any client should consider.
View full review »Every single module has some particular value depending on who the type of user is. For example, the Address Book is a master data feature. It offers a lot of different types of credits and collections. It allows you to hone in on the credit holds, allows you to be specific if you need some customer statements, or provides reminder letters. It allows you different cross-language functionality, which we need across the different countries that we're in. It allows you to have different payment terms. It has this Address Book by line of business, so that if you had multiple business units, you could hone in on each credit and collection based upon each business unit specific, while using the same, single customer.

I have found their budgeting and financial inquiries are easy to work with. It is easy to inquire about any account in our company. They are good with financial and accounting platforms.
The most valuable feature is customization through E1 tools because Oracle JDE is neither prepared nor updated in time for Latin America localizations.
View full review »The most valuable feature is the scope of functionality that JD Edwards covers. You could start small with something like financials and HR payroll, and you can expand it to be used for asset maintenance, distribution, manufacturing. It also comes with a development tool set so that you can add onto it fairly easily.
View full review »The most valuable feature for us is its robustness, especially coming from the system we had before because it can do so many more things. For example, we can drill down into the data a lot more. That's a huge advantage for us.
View full review »The programming language is the most valuable feature for me. I'm all about flexibility so that I can respond to what my users need. The fact that we have the capabilities to do our own customizations is huge. The programming language is certainly understandable and manageable for someone at my level. I'm not a programmer all the time but I make mods to the software to support the needs of the business. The interface for making the mods and things like that is straightforward enough and it works. That's very handy.

The most valuable feature would be the fact that it is a ERP system that has all of its modules fully integrated without the use of middleware. We use the manufacturing modules extremely heavily.
View full review »Transparency in being able to see my data is the most valuable feature. As a maintenance planner, it helps me organize myself and other people, which JD Edwards does in a user-friendly way. We can take it down to somebody probably not very tech-savvy and as well as take it to my technicians. We can show them how to use it.
We're moving away from paper and it's really, really a tough thing in the maintenance world to move away from that. The thing I like about JD Edwards is, we can give somebody an iPad or we could give them a screen and they can sit down and organize everything. We're bringing everybody up to the 21st century. We can see what's going on live, my managers can see what we're doing on a day-to-day basis, hour-to-hour if they need to. JD Edwards lets us do all that.
View full review »The most valuable feature that I've found is that once it's configured, it's easy to use and maintain from a user standpoint. It's not something you have to keep re-configuring or programming because it breaks often. It's all-around, from implementation and maintenance points-of-view, a nice solution. Historically, JD Edwards is very good at absorbing those types of features into its new product releases.

I like the fact that the solution is very customizable according to business needs and adaptive throughout your business processes. It's not very rigid but they've also got all IRFS standards in line for whenever something changes, and you can just apply that to your accounting standards. The strength of the product is that it provides an audit trail regarding what has happened and who was responsible. It's also a very easy to use solution. Already for many years, on the manufacturing side, the orchestrator and the robotics were already in place. It was already embedded as part of the process and their functionality was really good.
I like JD Edwards as I was in on the ground floor with it. I learned it from the bottom up, so I think it's easy to use. I know how to navigate around it and to find everything I need, as opposed to having to go outside the system and the way we've set it up in our company.
