JD Edwards World Room for Improvement
Its end of life is already announced, so I don't expect lots of improvement coming from the product anywhere anymore. Nobody wants to invest any more in that application.

There is no support from Oracle here. We only have third-party support. Trying to find a solution by yourself or on Oracle's website is too hard. It needs to be supported better. We don't need a new release, we ust need help dealing with what's there.
The GUI version needs to be better than it is. The perception is that it is not modern, but the code base is only ten years old. People need to understand that even if you migrate to a new package, ROI is not immediate. It is more than five to ten years away.

Improvements are needed in transitioning JD Edwards World to a more stable and reliable cloud product, particularly in terms of GDPR and data privacy compliance. Higher availability and stability are essential for the cloud version, addressing concerns regarding reliability and stability.
I would suggest adding an API analyzer feature to JD Edwards World, similar to CentOS, for better understanding and monitoring of integrations. Also, reinstating Oracle meetups and consulting sessions could provide valuable insights from other users and streamline communication.
World is old, so everybody is looking to just upgrade or migrate from it. The client has used it for the past 18 or 19 years. They've outgrown World, so they want to move from World to EnterpriseOne or Fusion.
The solution is out-of-date and no longer supported.
It's a command-based system. Everybody these days wants a good grid to use.

One area for improvement in JD Edwards World is its pricing. It would be better if its pricing could be more affordable so that it could be available to a broader audience with the budget for it.
My clients want more analytics or data analysis features from JD Edwards World.

The integration technology could be stronger at this point.
There could be some more functionality related to the dashboard to check information using reports in a graph view. It could be more manageable.

I have more than 18 years of JDE experience in JDE EnterpriseOne and World versions. I think JDE is good but compared to SAP and Oracle EPS, we can see which area needs to have some improvement for JDE.

There are a lot of new technologies coming out and JD Edwards World could improve by having better integration with other databases. The integration with the databases and applications should be in real-time, such as with Oracle.
