A flexible approach for agile development with a user-friendly interface

Pros and Cons

  • "The most valuable feature is its flexibility."
  • "I would like to see more robust release management within the tool."

What is our primary use case?

We use Jira primarily for Agile development and change management.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is its flexibility. There is flexibility in the structure, lifecycle, and workflows that you want to work with.

The interface is user-friendly.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see more robust release management within the tool. We're not able to use it at this time because of compliance issues within our industry. At this point, I'm not confident that it can meet the requirements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Jira for about two years.

What other advice do I have?

This product has steadily improved since the time I started working with it.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

A powerful work management tool

What is most valuable?

The timeline management is great and the dashboard allows me to see the performance of everyone working for the company.

What needs improvement?

The filtration could be better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Jira for six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, it's not the best, but it's stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Jira is very easy to expand upon and customize.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was very easy. It's a very user-friendly solution but sadly, deployment for Jira is not the best.

What other advice do I have?

I would highly recommend Jira to other interested companies. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Jira a rating…

Good dashboards, and Kanban boards, and links to GitHub

What is our primary use case?

I use this solution for general issue management, software planning, and change management.

How has it helped my organization?

This solution is a one-stop-shop for issues and plans.

What is most valuable?

Issue linking has enabled teams to trace issues. I like the dashboards and Kanban boards. The development links to GitHub are critical.

What needs improvement?

The only thing that JIRA doesn't for us is release management in a way that I can create a list of versions easily.
