My advice is on what they are already using. For example, if it's in a Data Center customer and he already has some security devices and servers. And I would ask him what kind of functionality you want if this can already be set up in a firewall because I'm working very much with FortiGate Firewalls, which also provide load-balancing functionalities. But only up to a specific level, and if it's simple load balancing, round drop into two servers, then you can do it with the firewall. So you don't need an extra device like a dedicated load balancer. But when it comes to load balancing for an exchange platform or another. For the same customer, we replaced the Microsoft TMG with Kemp LoadMaster. Then you have to deal with things and features. For this, you need then this dedicated load to balance the device. So it depends on the functionalities that one requires.
I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

I rate it at eight out of 10. There are many features that are missing or poorly implemented and things that you simply cannot do. The product is very much “as is”, and people need to be aware of that. If you don’t want these limitations, there are other products on the market, but they are typically a bit more expensive. Kemp products are very good load-balancers but are lacking in features compared to its competitors.

The LoadMaster is very easy to set up, configure, and manage. We have been using it for almost 10 years and are still very happy with this solution.

My advice is to use Kemp's support to help with the initial setup. It is included in the initial cost and it makes sure that best practices are used. Keep up with the support because it's worth it.
I am currently happy with everything.

The Kemp load balancer is well suited for an on-premise Exchange system, either at one location or at two.
It is also suitable to use for balancing web site traffic between systems..
Kemp works well when used with two or more units in a multi-site environment I have not found a solution that the Kemp will not handle well.

I would rate this solution as a whole a nine, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.
I would advise other people trying to use this solution to go ahead and try to use it as some use cases are quite complex. Our use case is straightforward.
Go with Kemp, you will thank me later.

This product does what is advertised.
In terms of the value you get for the amount of money you pay, this is the number one solution.
For anybody who is implementing this solution, there is nothing to worry about. This product is mature, the documentation is there, and the support is very good. My recommendation is to get the virtual appliance instead of the hardware because it is easy, and that's what we have experience with. You get the same features and it is easy to scale and add more resources.
I would also suggest taking a backup of the configuration just in case they misconfigure something later. It is a complex configuration and if something goes wrong when somebody is changing it, it will break the traffic. You should be very careful when making changes to the configuration.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

I am getting some updates from them about added features to the product.
I will be working on a few more projects and planning on using it for these.

Check for the complete needs of your entire network system.
In order to configure things, you will have to first draw out your connections before you implement it.
This solution is good and it's reliable but there are things to improve.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

My company is an IT Services Consulting company, and when requirements warrant, I plan on recommending Kemp to our other customers. Note: We currently have no financial interest in recommending Kemp.
View full review »Overall, the product has covered what we needed and even offered some additional features.
It's really hard to say what can be improved when we do not have any complaints, to begin with. I just have to say that even Microsoft named Kemp their preferred load balancer for Microsoft Exchange in the past.
View full review »I would advise that you use the virtual appliances if you can. We did have a hardware failure twice on our original physical appliances and it is a bit of a vulnerability to go down to one LoadMaster while the other one is in the shop.
I can't think of any services I would like to add, as I haven't come across a situation where I wanted it to do something that it couldn't do.
It's been a great reliable product for us, and I would recommend it to anyone!
View full review »I don't know what feature could be made better, as it is working really well.
View full review »The user interface is good. The integration is also not an issue for the customers. The integration so far has been advanced for the customers, and I have no problems with it.
I recommend considering the pricing model because the solution has good performance and a competitive price. Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I rate the solution a nine out of ten. The solution is good, but its ability to investigate life traffic and its graphics can be improved. My advice for users considering this solution is to ensure they have adherent to deploy it.

This is a very competitive solution - they have a very solid product and it's cheaper than other solutions. There is no need to look at anything else because of the cost and you have an especially good product to do simple things.

View full review »I need to work on the Kemp cloud-based product, as I don't have experience with it.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten. To make it a perfect ten out of ten it would need better connection logging. If there is an active connection, then there is better logging. It should also have better management monitoring tools.
They have great technical documentation on their website. That would be my recommendation if someone needs to implement Kemp Technology products.
Look into what you need. Do you want to use virtual (VLM running on Hyper-V or VMware) or physical (LM)?

The load balancer that we're using right now is for having a tougher load balance between all the services. Very soon, we are looking forward to rolling out a serverless platform on Azure so that we remove the dependency on DevOps configurations and having this container management hub. We will move to a virtual load balancer. They have offered us a pretty competitive price. We are not using all the capabilities. We are only using a subset. We are in touch with their team, and they are very collaborative.
I would definitely recommend this solution to others. If they're looking out for a load balancer for a cloud or on-premises deployment, Kemp LoadMaster definitely works.
I would rate Kemp LoadMaster a nine out of ten. It is hard to find a thing to complain about.
