Tungsten RPA Initial Setup
Setting up Kofax RPA for the first time is not easy. It comes with a wizard, but you need to configure things manually. Deployment takes one to two hours to complete.

I rate Kofax seven out of 10 for ease of setup. Setting up Kofax isn't always straightforward, but it's not overly complex. It's in the middle. The average deployment time is hard to pin down. It's part of our ABN NAMRO infrastructure, which prevents us from doing things quickly. The time it takes isn't due to Kofax. Everything needs to be optimized based on internal procedures, etc. Generally, it isn't a big issue for us.We do everything in-house with a platform team of around six people that handles maintenance, lifecycle management, etc.
The maintenance consists of updating the infrastructure and installing new applications. Sometimes our accounts raise vulnerabilities that need attention, but they're usually minor.

The initial setup of Kofax RPA was complex.
The migration to Kofax RPA could improve. It is very difficult to migrate.
I rate the initial setup of Kofax RPA a three out of ten.

The initial setup is not complex; we use consultants for deployment and upgrading. They can handle it in two hours. We have more than 140 robots and we're expanding every day. We currently have four robot engines running at the same time.

It is easy and straightforward but this does depend on the use case and level of automation required.
I joined a team who did the deployment, so I was not involved at the time of the deployment. I did not hear about any trouble.

The initial setup was very easy for the Kofax engineer.
It took them about two weeks to deploy and then implement that process. It was approximately the same length of time for UiPath.

The initial setup is fairly simple. It's not too complex. Everything is handled on their end. You simply need to pick the style and configuration you want and the product is delivered to you according to your specifications.
The deployment process typically takes about three months. Normally you have to do discovery and map the processes before making the configuration and delivering the final solution.
There isn't a lot of maintenance required. You only need one or two people to deploy and maintain everything.

I was not a part of the installation. It was done by the infrastructure team.
The number of staff that it requires for deployment is dependant on the scale you want it to be. For example, the current team that is working with Automation Anywhere has a team of 20 developers and four admin teams.

It is not that straightforward. We tried it and then went ahead and set it up. There is a way to deploy the bots and all that stuff, and we literally had to figure everything out. It is not as straightforward as Automation Anywhere. It is a little bit more complex than Automation Anywhere.
Its deployment didn't take too much time. We figured it out within four or five hours.

The initial setup has a moderate amount of complexity. Deployment took a couple of days.
It took a maximum of two people to handle the rollout. Since we are a startup; we jointly set the responsibility in our work zone so it was handled by the senior developer having the entire responsibility of installing this solution. They are the first person to get their hands on the system.
Maintenance of the solution after the initial setup takes two people.

The product's installation takes a few days to complete. Time is spent mainly on dashboard creation and use case implementation. You need seven resources to handle deployment. The tool can be maintained only with dedicated seven to eight resources.
