Adobe Commerce Initial Setup

Regarding setup, let me give you my example. So we worked with the business team and product team in HP, responsible for the deployment. So, getting the details and the setup was very hard with the business team. The interaction between the product team and the business team and all the requirements that the business team, let's say, was providing to the product team, in the beginning, was hard in terms of getting the setup. I don't think it's because of Magento, and to be honest, I believe, it was because of the system integrator that we got to use it. So, there are differences in the quality of system integrators. Depending on who you are working with, probably the experience would be much, much easier. In our case, we were not working as the best integrator, so we had a hard time in the beginning. But when all the problems and the product setup were solved, and we launched the platform, we still saw some issues, but it was not something that made us think that it was not something that was going to work. There were small issues, and we had to work hard with the IT team and the business team to get all those sorted till we got a maturity or a learning cure. The learning curve for getting everything up and running was quite long, but again, it was not because of Magento. It was because of the system integrator.

The initial setup is very easy. It took us one or two days and cost about to set up the servers and deploy a website on Adobe Commerce. However, it can be challenging for others who don’t know much.

I rate the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy.

I would rate the initial setup a five, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the hardest and 10 being the easiest.

The initial, basic setup setup is more open and straightforward. A single business day will be enough to set up a straightforward shop and then we can do the customizing part after depending on the client's requirements. That's how we do it.

It is slightly complex, and you need technical knowledge. It is not as easy as Shopify, where you just log in and create your domain and a store. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to set a store up in Shopify, and you can then start playing with its interfaces and other things, but that's not the case with Magento. It took me a couple of hours to set up Magento.

The solution’s setup is not complex. It’s just like any regular platform implementation. The number of people required for the platform’s implementation depends on the size of the project.

Compared to other platforms, the initial setup of Magento is definitely complex. However, when I consider the value of using this application, I think that spending some time on the initial setup and configuration is worth it. It is not a waste of money because it is a very good solution and brings a lot of value.

The setup is fairly straightforward as long as you have experience configuring a server to Magneto’s requirements. It’s definitely not as straightforward as the five minute install of WordPress.
