Trellix Endpoint Security Pricing

AhmedEl-Tayeb - PeerSpot reviewer
Product Manager at MCS

Trellix may cost around $46 to $47 for a single license without an EDR. In contrast, Trend Micro may cost $23 to $25 USD without an EDR sensor. Trend Micro is much cheaper.

Trellix may have extra costs in terms of managed services. That might be around $200 to $250.

I'd rate the solution six or seven out of ten in terms of affordability.

Compared to Bitdefender, Trellix Endpoint Security is more expensive, but considering it comes with DLP, the solution's price is fine. The licensing cost for the solution is 20k a year for 400 users and 10k for 200 users. You don't have to pay additionally for the solution's maintenance.

We took out a three-year license, including support, but it is slated to end come December. We would like to switch to a yearly subscription.

We pay for the license on an annual basis.

Trellix Endpoint Security is neither a cheap nor an expensive solution.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a four out of ten.

It is affordable. I don't exactly know the amount as it is maintained by someone else on my team. We have another separate team that basically manages the financial part.

We pay 650 Rand for a license. It is a perpetual license which we normally run for two years. It will be expiring sometime in July and our renewal is normally for two years.

When we are looking at the pricing, nobody will ever say the pricing is bad. Normally what we do is we'll take quotes from different local partners, as McAfee doesn't allow us to buy direct from them. Therefore, we typically deal with resellers.

I think Trellix is more on the higher side of the market, just on a general scale, but I also think it depends on what particular package you choose. Different packages have different rates. I would give the pricing a three out of five. It depends on your usage because if the product works for you, then you might say the price is right. At one point it worked for us, but we have shifted our goals.

I do licensing on an annual basis and this is what I always recommend to my clients over the monthly option. This is because all my clients are long-term and do not wish to pay on a monthly basis, instead preferring licenses of, perhaps, three years with an additional one or two year option.

A perpetual license is not an option with McAfee Endpoint Security or anyone else for that matter.

The price of the solution is high in Asia, in contrast to Symantec, which gives you a 70% discount on the closing of the project. The issue at hand involves the people. McAfee did have some big clients in my country and region. However, it did not have many clients.

As always, the cost of the licenses has to be paid and it will be per user per year. But the cost is minimal because we have taken a sort of deal with McAfee for a site license.

McAfee's prices are flexible and can be quite competitive, although there are other solutions that are even more so. Most end-users don't focus on which solution is better, but on which one is most cost-effective.

Our customers must pay for the licensing involved in using the solution, which they do so annually. Yet, the majority of our customers deploy the solution on-premises, which means their licenses are perpetual. There is still a need to pay for support, however, and this must be renewed annually.

The initial price is very good as they give good initial discounts, but it seems a little expensive once you renew the license. The price isn't very different comparing it with other Anti virus providers but it's worth it. With respect to freemium solutions, premium gives support and I personally prefer to pay for a service as no one gives anything for free.
