Security Engineer at PC Store
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight or nine out of ten.
Trellix ESM is used by teams involved in the monitoring of events. The number of people who manage the product depends on the office where the solution is used. Considering the use of data sources in the solution, I have seen around 100 people use Trellix ESM.
The scalability of McAfee ESM is good.

They do pretty well with scalability because McAfee has so many different solutions. There's a personal edition, then you have a small business edition, and there's an enterprise edition. It can be scaled, and I think they've done a good job.
View full review »Scalability is good. You can increase their EPS module as EPS is about events per second. The cost goes to the customer if it wants to charge them. It's very scalable. At any point in time, you can scale it up, and you can scale it down. That's not a problem.

This is a very scalable product.
In the on-premises deployment, we have large enterprise clients. For cloud-based deployment, our clients are small to medium-sized companies.

We've been satisfied with the level of scalability the solution offers us.
View full review »The scalability depends on how much you want to pay for it. If I need a bigger solution, the vendor is going to be able to add more features to the machine, or even change it. It all depends on how much are you willing to spend.

This solution is very scalable.
We have four or five customers that we are performing monitoring for. Their user-base varies, with some having fifty users and some having more than one thousand users.
We do plan to increase our usage and have had meetings with McAfee as a partner. We would be offering this solution exclusively to our clients.
View full review »If we want to increase or expand then we just have to add devices, so it should not be a problem.

IT Consultant and Project Manager at a government with 1-10 employees
This solution is very scalable from my perspective. We have around twenty-five users. We have level one users, which are operation analysts. We also have level two users, who take care of daily operations. Level two includes, for example, handling the rules on the creation of users. Everything is segregated. We also have a second engineer.
View full review »We once processed so many logs that we almost ran out of hard drive space. However, all our clients implementations are running smoothly and their health status remain green. My view is that the technology is mature in terms of its design and the manner in which it processes logs. It is easy to configure and easy to use.

We are looking for horizontal and verticle expansion. McAfee has issues with scalability. Other ESM solutions, don't have the same issues.

So far, we haven't tried scaling. Because it is on-premises, it is almost a setup environment. We don't do any major changes on the same site because it is quite critical and gets alerts. We don't want to mess up with our configuration.
