We switched to Azure Defender. It's constantly being updated. It's just a superior framework.

If I use Azure Sentinel, which is a centralized SIEM solution, and a client is using McAfee as their antivirus solution, I would use a connector for McAfee in Sentinel. This allows me to connect to that McAfee client and collect all the data McAfee has gathered from vulnerability and risk assessments.

Then, I can perform further analysis of this data using my threat intelligence. McAfee may already have very good decision-making capabilities, but if you have a separate centralized SIEM solution, McAfee can be integrated into that by using the connector to the McAfee client.

Currently, we use Microsoft Defender as our security solution.

With our company laptops, everything is pre-installed, and I think they are using Quick Heal in office. It's better because I don't get any popups or scanning messages. It sends the details to the respective department and they take the call, so I don't need to intervene in anything. Every two weeks or twice in a month, all the upgrades get notified. As upgrades get notified, I keep doing the updates for the office. It automatically gets updated for Windows 10.

I think before this, they may have used something else like Trend Micro. Then they moved to McAfee, and from McAfee, they may shift to some other good product. I have used a computer spreadsheets antivirus, e-antivirus before.

We do have other anti-malware tools. That's because of the decision we made some time ago for file-less attack scenarios. Because we didn't have McAfee's EDR feature at the time we had to go for another product, specifically for EDR. We are thinking of evaluating EDR for McAfee sometime in the future to see whether we can consolidate our endpoint protection with only McAfee. So there's room for McAfee to evaluate EDR. That's the only feature that we don't have.

In the past we tried ESET. I will say that McAfee happens to be a better product for us. Based on experience, if I'm comparing McAfee to ESET, I prefer McAfee.
