McAfee Web Protection has been around for many years and the solution holds its ground as a product providing good accessibility and handling any overload very well. McAfee has developed new features similar to those found in other solutions; enabling seamless deployment, reducing the footprint on data centers, and making the solution more scalable, more resilient, and more reliable. 

The most valuable features of McAfee Web Protection are the reporter, and you have the option to have an agent installed in the notebooks or on the mobiles. You are able to have the same policies inside and outside of your organization which is a benefit.

If you are browsing web applications, it would help detect any malware. It's very useful for security purposes. The product also protects against spyware. 

It helps protect and control communications.

The product is quite an effective firewall.

It's my understanding the solution can scale.

The initial setup is very simple. 

It doesn't seem to take too much system bandwidth, and I also like its reporting. Once a month, it gives me a reminder of the activity. It reminds me that the protection is on, and if there are any issues, it summarizes those minor issues. During the month, it only notifies when there is something special.

I'm not over-notified about things. When I get a notification from the McAfee system, it is really something that needs my attention.

Some of the most valuable features are the USB locking on system port blocks. We are now implementing the policies by pushing the active directory policy and group policies on all the systems. The user access control on the particular systems and their antivirus upgrades are all features we have found to be of great importance.

My aim is to make sure that when I try to connect to a website, for personal or business reasons, I'm not taken to an unsafe site. Sometimes you are on a site with a connection to a document or something and the message pops up that it's unsafe. That's what I'm looking for in this solution and that's what I get. It's a good product.

It's a solution that permits making a granular configuration and it is easier to deploy the same configuration on a lot of devices using the central console. It is the master of the product.

The most important feature for us is the anti-malware. It does have the IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) capabilities in there. I have used that personally as well and it is a nice feature.  

McAfee Web Protection was a good tool because in the olden days when you had to use a proxy tool when browsing the internet. Today the logic has changed slightly, in the sense your protection's taken onto the cloud. You'll exit a predefined gateway on the cloud before your internet browsing happens and therefore you're secured.

The most valuable feature of this solution is that it protects against threats that are coming from the web.

The feature which I have found most valuable is the URL filtering policy.

This feature:

1. Gives me a opportunity to make rules for blocking a website where the user should not be able to access it.
2. Then, McAfee Web Gateway also classifies the sites and categories them.

The most valuable feature is the ease in the configuration for security roles.

The solution does a very good job of protecting my devices from malware.

The solution is quite stable.

The solution is not too expensive. It's affordable.

The initial setup is pretty straightforward.
