Melissa Data Quality Initial Setup

Initial setup on the first install was VERY easy. Propagating the matching rules to the next server was easy IF you know which file to copy which isn't well documented. The tool is extremely easy to use when you know just a few little things which aren't documented. Their development staff were very helpful in providing simple tips on how to set it up.

We had to write a new Java client to use this service in our application. The complication is only in terms of integrating that into our legacy software. Otherwise, their software/API is pretty straightforward to use.

Documentation & videos on the on-premise version is not very helpful. It takes some trial/error to see what the tool is actually doing.

Initial setup was fairly straightforward. The documentation was very good in terms of how to integrate and consume the service(s) that we use. It did not take an abundance of time to set up things on our side to use the service and incorporate it into our e-commerce platforms. So, it went very smooth.

Straightforward. A simple API fit for purpose.
View full review »We required significant field mapping on our side due to our country specific needs. Understanding how Melissa responded with its standard field for each country took some time to internalize. However, the initial set up was quite simple.
View full review »It took me a little time. There are a couple of nuances that I had to struggle through, to first figure it out. Having tech support there really helped guide me through it. As far as getting the database formatted the way it should be, that took a little time to do. That may have been my problem as much as anything else.
It was easy. In the installation documentation, they should mention that SQL server instance should be on the same server where Melissa Data software is installed.

We used a third-party to integrate into our DQM.
View full review »Easy, but I did not purchase a big package; I have mostly taught myself the program.
