Meraki MX Stability

Aamir Hussain
Production Operator at Al Ghurair Investments
Stability is there in Meraki MX. The availability is 99%. We have been monitoring the organization for the past two years, and we haven't got any downtime because of Meraki MX. It is either because of the ISP link being down because of non-payment or maybe some issue with ISP link or power outage. We haven't got any problem with Meraki MX itself.

View full review »The tool is stable. However, other Meraki products are not stable. I rate the stability an eight out of ten.

Client VPN is the only unstable thing that we have found.
When we need to do re-audit firmware updates for a bunch of clients, that takes 10 people. Day-to-day, zero to one person maintains it.

I rate the tool’s stability a nine out of ten. Stability is very good, but it's not absolutely perfect.
Meraki MX is a stable product, and I didn't see any challenges or issues regarding the solution's stability from the customer side. If the device fails, it's easy to raise a small ticket or RMA, and you'll get the device within the timeline specified by them.

Stability-wise, Meraki MX is okay. It performs as it's supposed to. There was one hardware failure, and the Meraki team replaced the unit practically overnight, no questions asked.

I use only Cisco hardware in my building, where I also have my network with Meraki MX. I don't have any problems, and I haven't tested the equipment in a multi-vendor environment.
The solution is stable however there are issues and we need to reboot sometimes. I would rate it five out of ten.

We haven’t had any stability problems. These MX-64, MX-84 and MX-100 devices are very durable and seem to work well in harsh environments. Our environment is fresh vegetable processing and shipping warehouses with coolers.

I did not encounter any issues with stability. Once a device was just dead and dead replacement. Once we had to replace a device because of predicted failure. Both cases were handled well by the support. We had only next business day support.

The stability of Meraki is that we have to fight working readiness. Meraki MX firewalls are perfect. We have no problems. We do agreements for a system.
We do the changing of old IT systems. It's working very well.

Meraki hardware seems to be very stable. Their update process can be automated and I have not had any issues with stability. Also redundant Internet connectivity automatically fails over reliably. AutoVPN rebuilds the site to site VPN tunnels after an Internet connectivity failover without any admin action.
