In my 10 plus years of hands-on experience using QTP (QuickTest Professional) and UFT (Unified Functional Testing), I have observed that there has been a lot of confusion among the testing community on what the difference is between the two tools. Therefore, I thought it would be beneficial to clarify what distinguishes UFT from QTP because it is important for the reader to know.

I have been using it for about nine years.

I have been using the solution for over ten years.

I have been using OpenText UFT One for years. My company is a customer of the product.

I have been using the solution for around one year.

We have been using the solution for more than ten years.

We started using the solution more than ten years ago.

I have been using Micro Focus UFT One for approximately two years.

I have used this solution for four years.

I have been using Micro Focus UFT One for approximately three years.

I have worked with QTP/UFT for 13 years continuously. My projects over the years have included the tool along with the use of ALM (aka Quality Center or Test Director), Business Process Testing (BPT), and TAO for SAP.

I have been working with Micro Focus UFT One for approximately nine years.

We've worked with the solution across several releases. We've used it for about ten years or so. 

Since I'm not an automation tester, I last used OpenText UFT One in 2007. But now I'm promoting it. I'm also promoting Selenium as an open source solution for future automation testing because the company can set up that framework and everybody can use it. And I'm having a meeting with the users next week on that. So we're going to be promoting Selenium over UFT.

But I have used UFT within the last 12 months.

I have been using UFT for the last seven or eight years. UFT One was just launched three or four months back, so I have been using it for a couple of months. 

We have been using this solution for four years. It is deployed in the client-server application with SAP.

OpenText UFT One has been available for around two years. We have been using it since inception.

I've been using the solution for four years. 

I have been working with OpenText UFT One for a long time.

I have been using this solution since 2003.

I have been working with Micro Focus UFT One for ten years.

We are working with the latest version.

I have been using the solution for one year. 

I’ve used UFT for just over 12 years. In comparison, I’ve used CodedUI for about six months, and Selenium for only two months. As you may imagine, I have a significant grasp on UFT and what it can do. An argument could be made that with the same experience in the other two competitors, these tools may be on more equal footing.

We have been using the solution for 13 to 14 years. I started by using an older version of UFT One, Quick Test Professional (QTP) 6.5.

We have been using UFT One for six years.

I have been using Micro Focus UFT One for between six months and one year. More generally, I have used UFT for approximately 12 years.

I have been using UFT One for eight years in different organizations.

UFT/QTP has been in place for probably about 10 years.

We have been using Micro Focus UFT One for several years, since before it was purchase and renamed from QTP.

I have been using HP UFT/QTP for the last 10 years.

I have used HPE Unified Functional Testing (UFT) for one and a half years, whereas the HPE QuickTest Professional (QTP) for a couple more years before that.

We have been using the product since 2012. We use both ALM and UFT together, as a team.

I used 11.5 two years ago, and I just updated to 12.51 one month ago, but I have not really used it yet.
