Good productivity, a nice set of Microsoft applications on offer, and easily accessible online
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the fact that everything is online. It makes the solution very accessible."
  • "I thought that Skype was a part of the product's offering, however, it's my understanding that that is not the case."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution due to the fact that we use Microsoft. We use the various applications on the solution. We use it for our business.

What is most valuable?

The storage aspect of the solution is very useful for us.

I like that all the Microsoft applications, for the most part, are a part of it - including the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Our email is also included in it. Teams may also be a part of the solution - or it might be a part of Office 360. I'm not 100% certain. Either way, it has a huge umbrella of applications under it. The solution offers close integration with each and every Microsoft product. It's important.

The productivity of the solution is very good due to the fact that so many applications are all in one place and integrated together.

I like the fact that everything is online. It makes the solution very accessible.

What needs improvement?

I thought that Skype was a part of the product's offering, however, it's my understanding that that is not the case.

The Teams product in itself needs to be improved. It's not as robust as other communication tools, such as Zoom. It's unstable and it crashes often. It's been an issue throughout lockdown. They seem to have made updates on the product and yet it hasn't really improved too much.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for between six months and a year or so at this point. It hasn't been that long.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is reasonably stable, aside from the Teams aspect of the solution. That part is unstable. It crashes when you use it. It's not as stable as Zoom, for example.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Teams is limited. If you add too many people, it will crash. If you're doing a presentation and communicating with a group of people, it tends to fail. I need to send my presentations ahead of time so that I don't compromise on my delivery during a session.

Overall, the solution is used company-wide. I'm not sure how many people are on it at any given time.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't dealt directly with technical support. I can't speak to how knowledgeable or responsive they are.

We have our own internal technical support team. If I need help, I would be directed to them specifically. The issues I've dealt with have all been handled internally.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used WebEx.

How was the initial setup?

I did not directly deal with the initial implementation. Someone handled the setup for me. I can't speak to how easy or difficult the process is or how quickly the deployment happens.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay a license fee in order to have this solution, however, that is handled by corporate. I don't know how many licenses we have on hand or how much we pay to Microsoft.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and end-user.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using. I don't know the version number.

I presume that we intend to continue to use the solution going forward.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. If the Microsoft Teams portion was more stable, I would rate it higher.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Pros and Cons
  • "Microsoft 365 Business includes SharePoint which is a really good tool. Plus, there are so many apps that you can integrate with this solution."
  • "The SMTP should be easier to use and navigate."

What is our primary use case?

We use Microsoft 365 for communication and collaboration in regard to typical business activities like drafting documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.

Within our organization, on a daily basis, there are roughly 400 users, using this solution. We definitely plan to keep using this solution in the future.

What is most valuable?

Microsoft 365 Business includes SharePoint which is a really good tool. MS Forms is also a very good tool for data collection. Plus, there are so many apps that you can integrate with this solution.

What needs improvement?

Many things could be improved but I cannot be specific because there are so many applications.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Microsoft 365 Business since it first hit the market.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Microsoft Office is a longstanding product. It's easy to use and install. It's very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's a truly scalable solution

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used some free and open alternatives but feature-wise those are far behind O365

How was the initial setup?

Easy installation process

What about the implementation team?

In-house

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a licensing cost, but considering the features that it's equipped with, it's not that expensive.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of eight.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A stable, fast, and user-friendly solution with good integration between the applications
Pros and Cons
  • "The integration between the applications is the most valuable. I can share things using my phone, computer, and OneDrive. It is very stable and fast. It is also user-friendly and scalable."
  • "It can have more integrations between the applications that are there within this product. In the newer version of Teams, there are some new features that allow you to share directly from Outlook, etc. It would be good if they continue to explore these types of integrations between applications."

What is our primary use case?

I am using Outlook, Word, and Excel. I am not using any of these tools or applications to the full extent of what they can do. I am only scratching the surface.

What is most valuable?

The integration between the applications is the most valuable. I can share things using my phone, computer, and OneDrive.

It is very stable and fast. It is also user-friendly and scalable.

What needs improvement?

It can have more integrations between the applications that are there within this product. In the newer version of Teams, there are some new features that allow you to share directly from Outlook, etc. It would be good if they continue to explore these types of integrations between applications.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable, and it is highly used everywhere. I didn't stumble upon any bugs in the product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable. In my company, we currently have only one user, but in my previous company, there were 30,000 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

I never had to use their technical support.

How was the initial setup?

Its installation is really straightforward for an end-user. It took 30 minutes to one hour. The duration depends on the type of package that you have, that is, whether you have the full package with Outlook, Excel, and the rest of the applications.

What about the implementation team?

I installed it myself.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this solution. I plan to keep using it.

I would rate Microsoft 365 Business a nine out of ten.

Feature-rich and promotes collaboration, but the technical support needs improvement
Pros and Cons
  • "It is a collaborative platform, so you can do everything in one place."
  • "n the future, a dashboard should be included."

What is our primary use case?

Our main uses for this product are PowerPoint Slides, Excel, and Word. There are the main business use cases. We also use Outlook, Skype for Business, and Teams.

What is most valuable?

All of the individual features and components are good, although the one that I like best is Microsoft Teams.

It is a collaborative platform, so you can do everything in one place.

What needs improvement?

In Microsoft Teams, there is a lot of opportunities to improve. For example, search capabilities should be improved. When performing a search within Teams, it should also search through Outlook, files, and the other areas of the system. This is something that is missing within the collaboration platform.

In the future, a dashboard should be included.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Microsoft 365 Business for almost two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

So far, this product has been stable and we have not experienced any challenges.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have more than 2,400 users and do not have plans to increase usage.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is pathetic.

How was the initial setup?

The current deployment that we have was quite simple. However, we are planning to integrate it with Cisco, and once that is complete, we will know how complex it is.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

This is an expensive product because it is subscription-based, which is always more expensive than a perpetual license.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is implementing Microsoft 365 Business is to have some in-house capability, as we do. This is the best way to engage with this product.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

Office 365 is cloud-based, the full-featured experience can be accessed from anywhere, on any device, as long as they're online.
Pros and Cons
  • "It's strictly in the cloud, so the company doesn't need to invest in hardware to install their Active Directory. So I find that it's a cost-effective alternative."
  • "I'd like to see a more customizable interface. We're used to seeing Office 365 with a white background and black foreground, and I'm aware that you can customize 365 to change it to a black background. but I want more options aside from the standard settings."

What is our primary use case?

Myself and my colleagues have been using Microsoft 365 for our real-time communication (Teams), social networks, mailing, document processing and much more.

My company has employee of almost 600 staff across regions.

How has it helped my organization?

Microsoft 365 Business has helped my organization get organized using email, calendar and contacts all perfectly synchronized with a real time collaboration.

What is most valuable?

It's strictly in the cloud, so the company doesn't need to invest in hardware to install their Active Directory. So I find that it's a cost-effective alternative. I see what's going on in Microsoft DevOps to be very intriguing. We have artificial intelligence and machine learning that can help us with everything, like how you respond to daily emails, collaboration, etc.

What needs improvement?

It will be nice if the constant/regular updates can be minimized  and I also notice that the application is highly resource intensive and needs to be checked.

Microsoft also need to find a way to educate their customers on how best to utilize their paid apps because they hardly use up to 20% of the features.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been exposed to the usage of Microsoft Office 365 (now Microsoft 365) Business as far back as 2012 in my former company. And the application suite has continued to improve from time to time with a lot of outstanding features releases.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's relative stable

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Microsoft 365 Business is scalable

What other advice do I have?

I give 365 Business an eight out of 10.
