We're a small company, however, I'm familiar with other users at larger companies and they've been very pleased with the scalability. Especially people that I've talked to noted that all of a sudden this became the main thing that they were using during this work from home social distancing trend. I've heard a lot of positives about that, which is one of the reasons that we're looking to implement Teams and we're just trying to get some information on the right way to do it.
Therefore, we're hoping to expand into Teams and SharePoint and use more of those tools. We started out with the basics and we use it enterprise-wide. We're hoping that we can continue to expand into it as much as possible.

It is a scalable solution. There are over 10,000 end-users in our organization. It is extensively used in our organization. We do have plans to increase the usage.
For example, I primarily use Excel in Microsoft 365 Business. So, we have options like Excel options; we have add-ins. So under the data tab, we have a data streamer, and we also have Microsoft Power Query for Excel. So using these, we can include the data-related menu bar in Excel software.

I haven't tested scalability as we are a new business, just starting out. There is only one other person working with me and I purchased two licenses even though the other person in the company doesn't yet use the product. You have to have one license per user even though each user gets to load it/ use the license on several other devices. It might be a waste but I wanted to do the right thing. It would be helpful if they provided an option for two licenses so you could legitimately have it on a second computer.
I've bought additional licenses for other apps because my business is going to be delivering a very comprehensive business intelligence/ project management service offering. I expect to expand use and embark on several upgrade routes available to me, when the time is right.

I wouldn't be able to talk to scalability because I work on it as a single user, but I would say that if you and I are communicating back and forth via email and by day five, we've already got five megs of communication going on between us because you've got signatures with pictures and I've got signatures with pictures and it's chewing up tremendous amounts of space. Then it kills the bandwidth. My thought would be, why can't Microsoft Office be as smart as saying, this logo has been represented seven times already in this communication chain, let's just keep the most recent. That would be great. Then as you're sending around version control for documents and you have version two on Monday and you're up to version eight by Thursday, all those versions are still stuck in the email. Why can't Microsoft be smart enough to say, would you like to keep all the previous versions, yes or no? It could eliminate that bottleneck and be a little bit more productive.

In terms of the number of licenses, it is scalable. For example, if now you're using an Office application for five users, then you have the option to increase the number of licenses, to ten or 20 or more. It goes as big as you need it to.

The scalability of Teams is limited. If you add too many people, it will crash. If you're doing a presentation and communicating with a group of people, it tends to fail. I need to send my presentations ahead of time so that I don't compromise on my delivery during a session.
Overall, the solution is used company-wide. I'm not sure how many people are on it at any given time.

The solution scales well. Of course, you can add more users whenever you need to. For example, if someone has an account, you can just add new users to it. If you are a company of 50, you may originally purchase 50 licenses. However, if you add 10 more employees, you can buy additional, licenses for 10 people. It's very easy to expand.
Currently, we have about 50 users, more or less, in our organization.
