I have used Salesforce. We switched to Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a completely commercial-driven call. Our total cost of ownership on Salesforce was atrociously high, and our complete focus is on cost optimization.

I'm also familiar with Zoho, which has a nicer user experience.

Since we are a Microsoft gold partner, we do get the Microsoft solution for free.

We also use SAP CRM.

I recommend using SAP CRM in all regions except for Africa. We use Microsoft Dynamics CRM in Africa because we did not have an SAP partner in the region. However, there is now a partner in North Africa, so we will be migrating all of the Microsoft Dynamics to SAP. That said, it will take time.

SAP is more scalable than Microsoft Dynamics CRM. SAP, however, is more expensive, although it provides more benefit to us.

I don't believe we were using anything else previously. A majority of our systems are Microsoft systems.

Microsoft is a popular product in our region. We wanted a popular brand to work with so that we had something we could easily trust rather than trusting other unknown or new software. Basically, because of the brand name and since Microsoft came to Nigeria, and all the more adding to the aforementioned details was its popularity in our region which made us choose it.

We had an existing solution, but it was locally implemented and did not have all the report features of a full-blown CRM software. We were not able to adequately track all interactions with our customers from all of the different channels. Therefore, we started searching for a new solution.

We chose Microsoft Dynamics CRM, because of the vendors, it was able to demonstrate its solution would fulfill our requirements. Also, integrations are easier with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Ultimately, the vendor was able to demonstrate proficiency in being able to ensure that the solution would adequately meet our requirements.

I previously used Salesforce which had a better third-party apps ecosystem and a better UI. In general, I find Salesforce to be more straightforward. If you're selling multiple products and have multiple accounts, managing those with your OEMs is easy in Salesforce because most of them are on Salesforce whereas very few of the enterprise-level OEMs use Dynamics.
