Microsoft Exchange Online Primary Use Case
We use Microsoft Exchange Online for email, such as sending and receiving emails. Our critical people are on the cloud and our non-critical people are on the premise.
View full review »Our company used the solution as an alternative to desktops for accessing emails remotely. It is a front-end email application that can be accessed from the web.
The solution allowed us to create new emails, collaborate via online surveys, and get feedback from a group of engineers on a specific items. We had 2,000 users across our company.
The solution more or less is an online collaboration tool.
View full review »Our primary use case for the solution is focused on the email team. We are currently in a hybrid environment and have some users on cloud and some on-premises. So we are migrating everybody from on-premises to the cloud by the end of this year.

Microsoft Exchange Online serves as a unique platform for us. We use it to receive and send emails within our organization and to others.
We use it in conjunction with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, leveraging the comprehensive capabilities of Microsoft 365.
I cannot put everything on 365 because it's obviously not as fast. We have Microsoft Exchange because we have a lot of emails. Most of our emails, about 80%, are on Exchange Server locally, and just 20% are on 365. We use Microsoft Exchange as a hybrid solution. The users who are accessing from outside and the users who are on our priority list outside of the organization are on 365. But the other people that are local are on Exchange Server.
There are more than 200 people using this solution in my organization.

The only reason why you would choose an online solution is the company that you're working at is they do not want to have an onsite server. The companies that want something on-site would choose the on-premise version.

Delivery manager at a computer software company with 201-500 employees
I use the latest version.
The solution obviates the need for infrastructure. The model is pay-per-use. We are not talking about a single email but a complete collaboration suite. One gets very well integrated IT which is tightly stitched with collaborations. One can chat and field calls. As such, it is not only Exchange Online coming on, but Office 365 Suites, which Microsoft provides the users. This availability ranges from first-line workers to CEO level users, depending on one's requirements. All the industry needs are covered. One can take the model best suited to him and tailor his solution to his investment capacity needs.
This means that the solution offers complete scalability and flexibility. A business user who occupies a very small portion of the industry can pay less for a suite. The desktop and web versions are also options. The solution's handy. One can use it on his mobile, or any other devices, including multiple devices and single identity. So, the picture is comprised of many components.
