One advantage to Microsoft .NET Framework is that it is a free product and everyone can use it. It is a very good point about that product because it makes it friendly and easy to adopt over many users. The solutions and use of technical support are free as well. View full review »

There is a Community Edition that can be used free of charge, but the licensing cost for the Enterprise version is quite high. Some of the tools that are available in the Community Edition need a valid license to run. Compared to other vendors, Microsoft products definitely have a higher price tag.
