Microsoft Visual Studio Scalability
Microsoft Visual Studio is scalable.
We have an assistant director and software development using Microsoft Visual Studio in my department. In the whole company, there could be hundreds using Microsoft Visual Studio.
In my department, they do not like Microsoft Visual Studio, but across the departments, we will increase the usage of Microsoft Visual Studio.

Microsoft has gained a lot of confidence in the market, so I would rate the scalability of Visual Studio around eight out of ten.
Based on my recent experience, sometimes, we faced difficulties with the same set of codes. Therefore, considering the recent incident, I leaned toward an eight and not a ten for scalability.
In my company, around 20 people are using this solution.

The solution is scalable, and scalability depends on what we use the tool for. It has various tools we can use in whatever way we choose. Currently, six people are using this product in our company.
The solution can scale, however, it's not straightforward. Sometimes it's very confusing in terms of what you need to do to make it happen.

If you have multiple windows open, up to three is fine. However, when you exceed three windows, especially on individual laptops, it tends to slow down the system. It is heavy; it is not a light solution.

There is a new version of it. I didn't try it yet, however, it is fully over the cloud where the development happens on the cloud in Azure. Since I didn't try it, I can't comment on that.

With Microservice Architecture it has become very easy for us to scale out. I think it's more about the way that we handle scale. The tool allows it. I would say the hardships comes with the planning for scale, as opposed to the actual tool accommodating itself. We have about 1500 users on Visual Studio and then we have a small team dedicated to the maintenance of the deployment.
