I would suggest that they do not require extensive technical knowledge to deploy it, thanks to the graphical user interface.

This is one task that doesn't need to be repeated, making deployment much faster and easier than that of competitors. Additionally, the solution is highly robust, as the instance I deployed has been running for nearly a decade without issue.

I would rate MikroTik Routers and Switches a nine out of ten.

We can always give a recommendation of the product to others, or if there is any help required, as community members, we can also help any small ISPs who are facing any issue. So we can always be there to help them out. We strongly recommend the solution to any small or medium-sized teams who want to start using it.

I haven't explored the switch much, but considering the routers, I rate the overall solution a seven and a half to eight out of ten, and to be more specific, I would go with an eight out of ten.

I give MikroTik Routers and Switches a nine out of ten.

For graphical improvements, I prefer the Firewall brand. For example, Check Point, Fortinet, or other similar options, including PSMs, with which I also have experience. In small businesses like ours, MikroTik Routers and Switches are highly beneficial as they offer some of the edge capabilities that we require for a smaller environment. If we don't need an enterprise solution due to the small number of users, these firewalls serve our needs effectively.

Once we become familiar with the hidden features, we can truly appreciate the power of MikroTik Routers and Switches. This understanding can enable us to unlock even more capabilities in the way we configure the routers. While MikroTik may not be the absolute best, it is indeed very good and highly useful. I wholeheartedly recommend MikroTik Routers and Switches.

We have a dedicated crew for maintenance.

I'm on MikroTik Routers and Switches version CCR1016.

Maintaining MikroTik Routers and Switches is straightforward, and there's always an update every four months.

My company has almost two hundred users of the product, and there is a plan to purchase another and have more users.

I'd tell people looking into using MikroTik Routers and Switches that the product is excellent but lacks a firewall solution. However, if you're a small to medium-sized company, I recommend it. For bigger organizations, you may have to look into another product.

My rating for MikroTik Routers and Switches is eight out of ten.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten for the reliability and the performance that you get out of it. I wouldn't rate it a ten because of the warranty limitation.

There is also a learning curve to be able to successfully manage it, but once you do that, it's going to work wonders. It's also not that expensive.

MikroTik is very good, however, you need to know the fundamentals to use it. You have to have a solid foundation on the capabilities or concepts used in MikroTik for it to become very effective for your organization.

The solution is relatively cheap and scales well. However, products like ours come in to assist in expanding the capabilities, such as reporting and cybersecurity features like traffic shaping. These additional functionalities don't come naturally with the basic setup. The tool's logical management can be problematic, especially for enterprise networks, and that's where add-on products become necessary. I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

We normally just buy the solution from the vendors, and then obviously we're just a reseller of IT companies.

I only use the routers. I've never used the switches or the APs. Usually, the switches we use, they're Ubiquiti. Same for the APs. And then obviously for the firewall, router, we use the MikroTik.

With most of my clients, including home users and companies, everything MikroTik. Obviously, the home users will use the RG750. For businesses, they'll use 2011, the bigger switches that have a bit more beef.

In terms of which version we're using, they auto-update. We're always on the latest stable version.

I'd rate the solution an eight out of ten.

My advice is that this is a small package with huge features and you should try it on your own.

The biggest lesson that I learned from this solution is that we underestimated the power and value of MikroTik. We primarily implemented Cisco and Aruba solutions, but since then, we have found that MikroTik can be used in place of these bigger brands.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

I'd warn others that a tutorial or a bit of learning is required before beginning. It helps if a user has a bit of understanding about the solution. There's some complexity in the terminologies and surrounding the initial implementation process.

I'd rate it eight out of ten.

My main advice to people considering this solution based on my experience is that I would suggest looking for other robust solutions. I know they are out there because I have used them.

On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best. I would rate MikroTik routers and switches as a six-out-of-ten. It seems to be working by its own devices but there is just too much old, slow, and unfriendly about them.

We buy from wholesalers, but we don't have a special selling agreement with anyone.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten when it fits. It's useless if it doesn't fit. If it fits, I don't think there's a better product when you are looking at price-performance. Overall, I'd rate them nine out of ten. Any requirement would be fulfilled from Aruba or from Cisco, but not necessarily from Mikrotik, which is why I don't give them a perfect score.

The technical features in MikroTik are not mentionable because it is a low-cost solution. There is no service, support, or proper training. We are using them because our competitors are using them, and we have to stay competitive.

The only real value of MikroTik is the price and I would not recommend this solution for any other reason. If you can get another device from a bigger company at a similar price then I would do that because the support is going to be better. Proper support is important.

I would rate this solution a five out of ten.

I would recommend this solution for those who don't need a very stable solution. You will not have zero-downtime provided by MikroTik. Also, if you need clustered routers then this solution will not work. However, if you are willing to update several times a month with several minutes of downtime while upgrading and rebooting, then it will be fine.

The biggest lesson that I have learned from using this solution is to write the network plan out before implementing changes. Then, go only by the steps of the plan, and do not deviate.

Overall, it is a very good solution with a lot of features.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

We use the solution and we provide services to clients as well. It's much cheaper than when we used Cisco and other devices. We're a reseller and solutions provider.

I do advise people to use the solution, because of the price and features. The more you learn is the more you realize how valuable MikroTik devices are.

One thing I would mention to others is that MikroTik is on Linux, but there's nothing like WinBox for Linux, or what you might call a Linux box. You need to do something that looks like WinBox, because if you're using Ubuntu, you will need to use WinBox and there isn't one for Linux. Not everybody uses Windows and many people, especially technical people, are moving away from Windows.

The solution is a good product and it has improved since the first time we used it. It's just support that is really lacking.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. I'd rate it higher if technical support was better.

We're just a customer. We don't have a business relationship with the company.

Originally, we had little MikroTik routers installed at first. Afterward, we bought a cloud core router and we've had that at this point for six or seven years.

We use the solution both at our company and for our clients.

I'd advise new users to take some time and learn about the configurations. They need to be prepared for a bit of a learning curve when it comes to implementation. However, after that, it's not a problem to use it.

Overall, I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
