Mule Anypoint Platform Scalability

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten; it is a highly scalable solution.
We have around 200 end users using this solution in our company. We use it to its maximum capacity. However, it's not for P1 applications, but definitely for severity two cases (P2 level). It integrates critical applications, but it's not a platform that, if it stops, the entire system would come down. So, it's more like a severity two level.
However, it has the potential to eventually become a P1 platform. Not exactly P1 applications, but a P1 platform. Because now we are still in the transition to migrate everything, all the integrations to Mule Anypoint Platform. But once it's done, then this platform becomes critical. Because even now, we have point-to-point connections.
View full review »The tool is highly scalable. We just need to put more money in. I rate the scalability a ten out of ten. The solution is priced per Core. The application's Core can be added. I'm not sure about the final price of the application's Core, but we were buying an additional increment of resources. It's nice that they have it separated like that. There are no technical challenges. We just need to write a check.

The scalability of the solution does not have any issues if a user chooses to go ahead with RTF Kubernetes since it grants auto-scalability features. In CloudHub, a user needs to pay extra money to activate the scalability features of the product. On an on-premises model, auto-scalability features are difficult to use. There is some downtime that users may experience when trying to access scalability features. There is a need to conduct a proper analysis of how much virtual core or memory is needed to use the scalability feature of the product properly. The scalability option with an on-premises deployment model is pretty much not so straightforward.
For small companies, I can't recommend Mule Anypoint Platform. Mule Anypoint Platform is suitable for enterprise-sized companies.

View full review »I rate the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform ten out of ten for scalability because its features are amazing. You can keep adding, but you must have enough licenses to support the scalability.
View full review »The solution is scalable and depends on your deployment model. With Cloud Orbit, it is very easy to scale or configure auto scaling. On-premises or private clouds require a bit of extra care but are still easy to do.

For the moment, smaller clients would consider choosing MuleSoft as their integration platform. As a rule, the Mule Anypoint Platform is more suitable for middle or large clients.

We haven't gotten to that layer yet, but I believe it is scalable, based on the description that we have.
It's a new platform, a new setup in Azure, and I don't believe that we have yet met the scalability criteria. We are still attempting to consume the platform's threshold, which we have acquired.
Mule Anypoint Platform is not being used by a single department. It is being used by the entire organization.

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten. Mule Anypoint Platform has great capability around different products, including products within the platform. It is a very decentralized kind of solution that can be scaled to very high levels.

Since we haven't yet used the solution for a long time, we haven't tried to scale it. We don't see any scaling limits at this point, however, there could be. We'll see when we expand it across our three SAP instances.
How many people actually use the product is hard to gauge. An API is being used with people not even knowing it. In essence, the entire organization is using APIs that tie our applications together. I'd say working with it, touching it, there are probably six employees on it.

It is quite scalable. MuleSoft Anypoint Platform has elastic scaling capabilities, where you can increase the number of instances. Suppose you have a higher number of requests coming in from the source. This solution has the capability to scale up the application and scale up the instances of the processes to actually capture the number of requests as well.
We have IT leads, developers, and architects using this solution in our company, totaling 10 people. We use it for around 200 customers around the world as well.

In terms of scalability capabilities, much improvement is required. That is my understanding. There should be more scalability options. As of now, a few options are there, however, from my understanding, they should come up with more and more scalability options.
Right now, what we have access to is okay. My point is mainly that they can still add more onto that.
