It's cloud, so that's the pro. It has all the features that other API manager does, and there are some features that vary from product to product. Everything cannot be brought upon MuleSoft or Anypoint API Manager.  

Right now, the universal API Manager is applicable for any API hosted in any server, it is not only MuleSoft. If we can bring the feature, I am a customer who has a MuleSoft API, as well as an on-prem API, which is developed on Java or some other integration tool. Still, I wanted to leverage the API Manager capability to my non-mule APIs. If these kinds of features are provided to the customer, I think they should be very happy with that approach.

I previously worked on Barracato, an IPaaS tool that is mainly used to handle integration and automation issues.

Mulesoft is good compared to the other integration platforms.

I have previously used Oracle. 

I've also used Apigee, IBM API Connect, and Kong Enterprise. They are pretty new for me. I've used Apigee and IBM for a couple of weeks. I did not use a different solution previously.

We are migrating from Mule to Kong now. We just have signed the contracts and we are basically getting the thing set up. It is a big project and it is going to take maybe another three to four months to roll it out to non-production and maybe another five months into production as we need to get everything in compliance and clear.

I have previously used different API gateway solutions, such as Akana API Management and SOA Software.

I don't think the company had a prior solution. Our IT stack has been matured from 2015 onwards. Gradually it's getting scaling up. In 2015 our company used to work on spreadsheets. IT stack was being set up in 2015. In 2016, we censored all our spreadsheets and all those things, and we brought Salesforce into our company so that all the call centers on the branch associates who disperse the loans, who grant and pursue the loans have been using that. Once the Salesforce has been established, gradually we found that API as one of the most innovative thing.

We brought APIs. First, initially we did some Java-enabled APIs, but we found that it was going to be consuming a lot of time and energy, so thought rather an API management product may be viable. We brought Mulesoft. I think somewhere around the beginning of 2017 we brought Mulesoft. 

I have worked with other API management systems such as those by Kong and Tyk. Each vendor has its own functionality that you need to know about so that you can work with effectively.

MuleSoft Anypoint API Manager has some advantages over other products. It is a brand and has proximity to Salesforce and AWS cloud.

We used a different solution before MuleSoft Anypoint API Manager but went with MuleSoft Anypoint API Manager for digital transformation.

I have used Software AG webMethods and Oracle SOA Suite at other customers, but none have switched.

We also use Tencent which is just more compatible with enterprise architecture.

I have a great deal of API experience and I feel that Mulesoft could be doing better. It may be that my standards are a little bit high.
